In this role, you will: Develop and articulate a compelling research vision and applications and set the strategic direction of your group. Work closely with leading industry partners in the region. Build, lead, and inspire a team of researchers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive research environment. Design and implement ambitious applied research aligned with CEITEC MU’s objectives and compatible with its research infrastructure. Actively pursue and secure external funding to support the development of the group and its R&D activities. We are looking for candidates who meet the following mandatory criteria: At least 5 years of ongoing research experience outside the Czech Republic at the time of application. No current or previous affiliation with Masaryk University. In addition, candidates should be able to demonstrate: A track record in applied research. Proven experience in collaboration with industry. Experience in shaping and delivering collaborative research projects with the application sphere. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and leadership abilities, including the capacity to supervise early-stage researchers. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES A doctoral research (normally PhD) degree in electrical and electronics engineering, microelectronics engineering, integrated circuits design, integrated circuits fabrication, microprocessor systems, digital VLSI design, CMOS digital integrated circuits, or be able to demonstrate an equivalent professional practice and engagement. Self-motivated for innovative teaching. Clear understanding of the philosophy and concept of Syntegrative Education (SE). Demonstrable past teaching/industry experiences or practices aligned with Syntegrative Education (SE).
