Description The Center for Quantum and Topological Systems (CQTS), New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to work on interdisciplinary research in quantum systems. The successful applicant will Performing interdisciplinary research in quantum systems within the projects of the center and in alignment with its goals, in collaboration and coordination with the PI and/or the Co-PIs, potentially leading to quality publications. Participation in the activities of the center, including workshops, training sessions, seminars, conferences, hackathons, meetings, and interaction with visitors. Mentoring of undergraduate research students in coordination with the PI and Co-PIs. Promoting the research done at the center by giving talks at national and international seminars/ meetings/ workshops/ conferences. Helping in teaching tutorials/recitations as the need arises. Lead or co-lead innovative applied research and industry collaboration projects with industry partners. Secure and manage research grants to support and develop applied research initiatives that strengthen Singapore’s food innovation, food manufacturing capabilities, and ingredient application sectors. Supervise and mentor students in applied research projects and Capstone Projects in food formulation, product design and product commercialisation. Qualifications: A PhD in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Product Development, Food Formulation, or a closely related discipline. Demonstrated expertise in food formulation, ingredient functionality, product development and/or applied food innovation. Strong aptitude for applied research, with the ability to apply new knowledge into practical solutions for real-world food industry challenges. Future ship and system design (FSSD) program develop strategic and innovative design capabilities for maritime industry in Singapore and beyond. The work package WP2.4 in FSSD will conduct research in the areas of autonomous system dynamic modeling, simulation, testing, data and video analytics, machine learning algorithms and platform programing.
