We are a small team providing pragmatic advice and support for all Faculties and Departments to minimize risk and ensure that our staff and students are working and studying in an environment where standards are clearly communicated and upheld. We are also responsible for the statutory and constitutional matters relating to the governance of the university, this includes support for the Board of Governors and Academic Board; the administration of FOI and data protection and the publicly available documentation of the business of the University. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Solicitor specialising in Research Contracts to join our Legal and Governance Team. You will lead and manage the research and innovation function within the Legal Department and will manage the Contracts Officer. You will draft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements with focus on innovation and collaboration. You will manage contractual relationships, mitigate risks, and ensure legal compliance across a diverse range of university activities. You will be accustomed to working autonomously and managing a significant and varied caseload and will have a business-oriented approach to delivery of legal advice. You will be a team player and have commercial awareness with exceptional communication and organisational skills. Lead with purpose and drive strategic impact nationally Full time, five (5) year contract, with competitive remuneration North Sydney or Melbourne based As the Associate Director, Strategy and Operations, you'll ensure the successful delivery and leadership of education and innovation strategies and projects in collaboration with the university's faculties and Research and Enterprise Portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director, PSH Provost and DVCRE and operating with a high degree of autonomy, you'll effectively manage and implement transformational change aligned with Vision 2033 across the university with a broad range of stakeholders, including members of the executive and the Directors of Strategy and Operations. You'll also provide direct and indirect leadership of staff, business partners, contractors and external consultants to ensure projects meet the strategic requirements of the portfolio and university.
