Welcome to Apply for the 2026 Overseas Outstanding Young Scholars Programme through Beijing Normal University I. Programme Overview The Overseas Outstanding Young Scientists Fund Programme aims to attract and encourage outstanding young scholars (including non-ethnic Chinese foreign talents) who have achieved notable accomplishments in natural sciences, engineering, and technology to return to or come to China. They will independently select research directions to conduct innovative studies, thereby accelerating the growth of young scientific and technological talents. This initiative seeks to cultivate a cohort of outstanding academic leaders poised to advance to the forefront of global science and technology, contributing to the nation's endeavours to become a leading scientific and technological power. II. Application Requirements The final requirements shall be subject to the 2026 National Natural Science Foundation of China Outstanding Young Scientist Fund Programme (Overseas) Application Guidelines. 1. Applicants for the Outstanding Young Scientists Fund Programme (Overseas) must meet the following criteria: (1) Comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, demonstrate sound scientific ethics, and conscientiously embody the spirit of scientists in the new era; (2) Have been born on or after 1 January 1986; (3) Hold a doctoral degree; (4) Their research focus should primarily lie within natural sciences, engineering technology, or related fields; (5) Between obtaining their doctoral degree and 15 April 2026, applicants should generally have held a formal teaching or research position at an overseas university, research institution, or corporate R&D centre, with a continuous work history of at least 36 months. For those who obtained their doctoral degree overseas and have demonstrated particularly outstanding achievements, the work experience requirement may be appropriately relaxed (this does not apply to those who obtained their overseas doctoral degree through joint Sino-foreign training programmes). For applicants holding concurrently remunerated positions within China during their overseas employment period, the duration of such domestic employment shall not be counted towards the overseas work requirement; (6) Have achieved research or technical accomplishments recognised by peers, demonstrating potential to become an academic leader or outstanding talent in the field; (7) Applicants must not yet have taken up full-time employment in China, or must commence such employment after 1 January 2025. Upon receiving funding notification, they must resign from their overseas position and undertake full-time employment in China for a minimum of three years. 2. Limitation Requirements: Compliance with national science and technology talent programme coordination requirements is mandatory. Applicants may undertake only one programme at the same level and may not apply for programmes at a lower level. III. Support Policies 1. Beijing Campus (1) Eligible for appointment to the Beijing Normal University Distinguished Scholar position, with direct appointment to senior professional title (full or associate professor level, subject to passing the university's talent recruitment assessment process); (2) Competitive remuneration and allowances shall be provided; (3) National research funding and matching research support funds; (4) One-off national subsidies and matching living allowances; (5) Provision of a postdoctoral team and doctoral student recruitment quotas; (6) Provision of temporary accommodation in accordance with the university's housing policy; (7) Access to nationally leading educational resources across all stages of pre-school and compulsory education. 2. About Us The Digital Health Hub Training Manager will play a key leadership role within the EPSRC-funded King’s Health Partners Digital Health Hub (KHP DHH), contributing to the professional services leadership of the Hub’s training arm. The role supports the delivery of skills development for individuals working at the healthcare-industry interface, fostering collaboration between digital innovators and the healthcare workforce to address real-world challenges in digital health. Sitting within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, the Training Manager will work closely with colleagues across the Hub’s core pillars (Training, Co-design, Translation, and Acceleration) to ensure impactful and integrated training delivery aligned with the Hub’s overarching goals. About the role This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the professional services leadership of our EPSRC-funded King’s Health Partners Digital Health Hub (KHP DHH) as the Training Manager. The training component of this Hub focuses on identifying and delivering the skills needed to train problem solvers who address real-life challenges at the healthcare–industry interface. The goal is to support the development of proactive individuals who can use relevant data and technologies to tackle real problems in digital health. Digital innovators and the healthcare workforce work together in a multi-disciplinary environment to develop safe and scalable solutions. The training arm of the Hub works collaboratively with the other Hub arms, including AI training, co-design strategies, entrepreneurship, industrial partner engagement, Patient and Public Involvement & Engagement (PPIE), digital health innovation, and the research pilots embedded in the Hub. The four core pillars are Training, Co-design, Translation & Acceleration. Organised and delivery-focused, you will join an established team and bring experience in gathering, interpreting, and presenting data to demonstrate impact. Experience of matrix working would be beneficial, as the programme facilitates collaborative efforts to identify and overcome barriers to effective integration and translation across disciplines. You will work closely with subject matter experts and the learning technologist to maintain and enhance existing asynchronous training resources, as well as create new engaging materials for a range of audiences in digital health. The role also supports the delivery of in-person training, from advertising and bursary coordination to post-course feedback collection. The successful candidate will collaborate with the learning technologist to understand the learning objectives of course participants and engage with supporters, patients, and the public in workshops led by participants. These workshops provide opportunities to share learning experiences and offer feedback on the structure and content of the taught material. Onsite working will be required for effective collaboration across the Digital Health Hub, with the expectation that the successful candidate will work onsite at least three days per week. This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31.03.27. About You To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria Strong project/programme management experience, including good IT skills (Microsoft suite). Description The newly established NYUAD Wireless Research Center at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate (PDA) to engage in cutting-edge research on channel modeling and characterization for communication and sensing in emerging spectrum for 6G and beyond, with a focus on the FR3, THz and optical frequency bands. This research will be conducted under the joint supervision of Marwa Chafii, and Murat Uysal. Principal Responsibilities The PDA will conduct extensive channel measurement campaigns to provide a comprehensive characterization of the ISAC channel models characterizing the interaction between sensing and communication. The PDA is also expected to contribute to optical channel modeling, particularly for comparative analysis with THz bands, where RF signals exhibit quasi-optical properties. The PDA is expected to actively disseminate results through publications in high-impact journals and presentations at leading international conferences. The PDA is expected to contribute to the intellectual property development through patent filings, as well as participating in standardization efforts relevant to wireless technologies, in coordination with academic and industrial collaborators. Qualifications Applicants must hold a PhD degree in electrical/electronics engineering, telecommunications or related field.
