About National University of Science and Technology

The National University of Science and Technology was founded in 2018 by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation in Oman. It was formed through a merger of the Caledonian College of Engineering, Oman Medical College and the Department of Pharmacy

The university is located in Muscat, the capital of Oman. Muscat is a port city that lies on the Gulf of Oman, surrounded by the Western Al Hajar Mountains.

There are three colleges at the university: the college of engineering, the college of medicine and health sciences, and the college of pharmacy. Each college offers a selection of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.

The Centre for Research and Innovation is committed to carrying out scientific research in collaboration with industries, other organisations and the wider community. The centre has a number of laboratories that facilitate this research such as the waste to energy research laboratory and the solar water research laboratory.

The university has developed partnerships with a number of prestigious higher education institutions across the globe. These institutions include the University of South Carolina and West Virginia University in the US and Glasgow Caledonian University in the UK.
