This role will provide leadership and operational management for the education support team within the Sydney Dental School, supporting academic staff, teaching activities, and curriculum delivery. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team, shape administrative processes and ensure excellence in student experience across the Sydney Dental School and Faculty of Medicine and Health. The role is primarily based at Westmead Hospital with occasional work at Sydney Dental Hospital and our campus in Camperdown, and requires a hands-on, adaptable approach to managing a complex, dynamic academic environment. Please note that this position is split between Westmead Hospital and the Sydney Dental Hospital at Central. About you To be successful in this role, you have: sound experience in the supervision, training, mentoring and performance management of staff; and experience managing and resolving a diverse range of HR issues experience working in a tertiary environment with working knowledge of using Learning Management Systems such as Canvas, together with sound understanding of timetabling/rostering of student activities the ability to apply specialist knowledge to identify, recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to education services and processes the ability to deliver education services with operational agility, mindful of the broader FMH context and demonstrating an appreciation and readiness to adapt your approach in response to changing business needs the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, together with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement, and the ability to prioritize workload during busy periods effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) with excellent client focus and the ability to build partnerships with internal and external colleagues and partners and between the faculty, precinct and school teams extensive knowledge of University policies and procedures and administrative processes within a tertiary environment and health environment. Currently there is a requirement for this positions to be on-site a minimum of 4 days per week, with 1 day of hybrid working. Experience in teaching programme development and management will be an advantage. You will be joining the Global Hydrogen Production Technologies (HyPT) Center which aims to develop net-zero and responsible hydrogen pathways across the UK, USA, Canada and Australia. You will become a member of the cross-cutting policies, economics and market thrust as well as the UK team. You will lead social aspects of hydrogen infrastructure development and justice work streams across the four jurisdictions.
