The National Transport University was founded in 1944. It has become one of the leading higher education institutions in the Ukrainian transport sector. The university is located in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. Faculties at the university include automotive and mechanical engineering; transport construction; management, logistics and tourism; economics and law and transport and information technologies. Students can study a range of bachelors, specialist and master’s degree programmes on a full-time or part-time basis. There are a number of centres within the university including the Centre for Correspondence and Distance Learning, the Centre for Postgraduate Education and Pre-university Training, and the Centre for International Education. Throughout the academic year, the university works in collaboration with a number of institutions from the Ukrainian National Academy of Science. These institutions include the Institute of Technical Mechanics, the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry, and the Institute for Problems of Materials Science. Since 1964 the university has been publishing its research findings in a science and technology journal called Highways and Road Construction. It also publishes its findings in the Hydraulics and Hydraulic Engineering journal and the Project Management, Systems Analysis and Logistics journal. The university has developed a partnership with Toyota Ukraine to provide industrial training to students and the opportunity for employment upon graduation.

Schemes of Service: Professional Officers Division: Professional Officers Employment Type: Fixed Term Job Purpose Innovation-as-a-Service Centre for Sustainability Innovation (IaaS CSI) is an ecosystem-level platform helmed by SIT to support innovation projects (from POC test-bedding to implementation) and talent development, thus enabling agencies and enterprises to accelerate innovation for the green economy. IaaS CSI aims to champion innovation within Singapore innovation ecosystem by bringing together capabilities from Universities, Polytechnics, ITE, Research Institutes, Industry. It is supported by the National Research Foundation (NRF) and staffed by Professional Officers/RE/RF who will link the industry to the research performers. The Professional Officer (Maritime), POM, with more than 15 years of industry experience, would enhance the performance outcomes of the IaaS CSI. The POM will work with industry partners to co-create commercially viable solutions by co-ideating and co-executing innovation projects. These projects will help the industries and businesses move up the value chain. While working on these projects, POM will have the opportunity to leverage or be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands. The success of these initiatives will bring about deeper collaboration with key industry stakeholders that will translate industry engagement into more innovation projects with SIT and/or the greater innovation ecosystem at large. The POM for Centre for Sustainability Innovation will play a pivotal role in advancing sustainability-focused research and projects that are relevant to the maritime domain. Collaborating closely with faculty, industry partners, researchers, and students, the POM will co-create impactful, practical, and commercially viable solutions that address critical sustainability challenges, encompassing environmental, social, and economic dimensions. Key Responsibilities Applied Research and Innovation Lead and manage projects impacting the Maritime ecosystem i.e., vessel owners, port and terminals, fuel supply chain, technology providers, ship managers, policy makers, etc, focussing on sustainability innovation, including but not limited to carbon accounting and management, renewable energy, circular economy, sustainable materials, and carbon reduction technologies. Collaborate with other domain in the IaaS CSI to leverage cross functional capabilities to enhance innovation outcomes e.g., Chemicals. Support life cycle analysis (LCA), environmental impact assessments, and resource optimization studies to address real-world sustainability challenges. Explore emerging technologies, frameworks, and practices to advance sustainable solutions in industries. Industry Engagement Technical professionals who will work with local enterprises to frame projects, identify capabilities needed from the industry ecosystem, IHLs and centers. Collaborate with industry partners to co-create sustainable solutions that enhance their operations and align with sustainability goals. Foster partnerships with businesses, government agencies, and other stakeholders to develop impactful projects that enhance environmental, social, and economic outcomes. Involve in industry engagements, help to bring in higher value-added projects for the centres in SIT, Polytechnics, ITE and other IHLs and RIs. Identify emerging trends and opportunities in sustainability to position SIT as a key partner in environmental sustainability innovation. Demonstrate thought leadership by speaking at conferences or publishing opinion pieces to promote the mission of IaaS CSI. Project Management Secure funding for research and innovation projects through grant applications and proposals. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of sustainability-related projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality outcomes. Monitor project progress, budgets, and milestones, providing regular updates to stakeholders. Professional Development and Expertise Stay updated with developments in sustainability innovation, including new technologies, regulations, and industry practices. Job Requirements A degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Maritime Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Engineering with sustainability training, or a related field. A Master’s or PhD is preferred. At least 15 years of relevant industry experience, with a proven track record in sustainability innovation and ESG integration. Representation on National committees e.g., Standards Organisation or Industry Association will be key for industry networks and an added advantage Strong knowledge of environmental technologies, resource management, and sustainable business practices. Familiarity with relevant sustainability certifications and standards, such as ISO 14044, etc. Experience in life cycle analysis, carbon accounting, ESG reporting, and sustainability metrics. Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills. Possession of relevant industry certifications in sustainability or ESG is an advantage. Experience in writing project proposals and grants will be an added advantage. Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to SIT. Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Schemes of Service: Research Division: Health and Social Sciences Employment Type: Temporary Job Purpose As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.  The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on industry innovation research where you will support all aspects of the project to investigate neuroplasticity and recovery of movement quality after stroke using multimodal functional brain imaging and 3D human kinematics. This funded research brings together multidisciplinary expertise from Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), National University of Singapore (NUS), National University Hospital (NUH), University of Glasgow (UOG), Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH), Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in the areas of Neuroscience, Psychology, Movement Science and Rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI) and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Prepare data collection forms/interview questions/questionnaire and recruit and/or interview subjects. Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary. Perform computational modelling and analysis of the neuroimaging and behavioural data, with guidance from senior colleagues as required. Provide ready access to all experimental data for the faculty researcher and/or supervisor. Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies, foundations and Ethics Committee review. Prepare progress reports for the PI and funding agency. Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations. Job Requirements A good degree in relevant discipline (e.g. experimental psychology, biopsychology, cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, neurology, psychiatry, cognitive neuroscience, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, physics or related fields). The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralised pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers bring specialised and deep technical expertise developed through extensive industry experience. They provide a critical industry perspective to student learning and applied research, complementing the academic expertise of faculty by translating industry practices and real-world applications into the curriculum. The Professional Officer (Industrial Biotechnology) will work closely with faculty, students, as well as internal and external stakeholders to strengthen operational and translational capabilities.  The role supports: The Bioprocess Innovation Platform (BIP) and related research activities, including feedstock processing, fermentation, downstream processing, and prototype sample preparation at laboratory and pilot scales; Industry-facing project execution and translational delivery in industrial biotechnology; Applied learning and Continuing Education and Training (CET) activities. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with faculty and internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth planning and execution of BIP-related activities and projects. Manage and support operations of the pilot-scale microbial bioprocess facilities (Bioprocess Innovation Platform, BIP), including: Project- and operation-related procurement; Consumables planning and resource allocation; tilities management (scheduling, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair coordination); Analytical and process data capture, analysis and documentation; Project documentation, reporting and follow-up actions; Waste management and disposal coordination; Laboratory safety and compliance. Provide hands-on technical support across feedstock processing, fermentation (up to 500L), downstream processing, and prototype sample preparation. Coordinate and manage external engagements for BIP, including: Technical services; Service contract work; Collaborative research projects. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field. A Master’s degree, PhD, and/or relevant professional certifications are advantageous. Description The New York University Abu Dhabi Computational Approaches to Modeling Language (CAMeL) Lab seeks to hire a post-doctoral researcher to work in any of the lab research areas, to be involved in the development of open source tools and resources, and to work on publications related to their work. CAMeL's mission is research and education in artificial intelligence, specifically focusing on natural language processing, computational linguistics, and data science. The main lab research areas are Arabic natural language processing (orthography normalization, grammatical error correction, morphology tagging, syntax parsing, readability assessment), machine translation, and text analytics. Since its establishment in 2014, the CAMeL Lab has produced over 200 publications and 20 language resources and tools. The lab website is http://www.camel-lab.com/.
