National Teachers College

National Teachers College (NTC) is a private higher education institution located in Quiapo, Manila, in the Philippines. It was founded in 1928 by Segundo M. Infantado Sr. and Flora Amoranto Ylagan as one of the country’s earliest institutions dedicated to teacher education. Established during a period of expanding access to formal education, the college was among the first in the Philippines to offer a comprehensive programme in education.

The college’s main campus is situated in Quiapo, a district of the city of Manila, with an additional site in the Mendiola area of the city. 

There are four academic schools at the college: School of Criminal Justice, School of Business, School of Arts, Sciences, and Technology, and the School of Teacher Education. There is also a Junior and Senior High School, as well as a Graduate Programme School of Teacher Training, which provides advanced studies in education, including master’s and doctoral programmes.

The college’s teacher education programmes remain a central strength, preparing educators for elementary, secondary, and specialised learning environments. 

Outside the classroom, campus life is centred on active student engagement and personal development through a wide range of organisations and co-curricular activities. A central student body oversees various clubs and associations, providing opportunities for students to develop leadership skills and engage with the wider college community.
