Description The Micro- and Nanoscale Bioengineering Lab (MNBL) at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking to recruit a research associate for biosensing of cardiovascular diseases. Applicants with a strong background in biosensor design and fabrication, as well as in clinical diagnostics, are encouraged to apply. Research in the MNBL focuses on the design and fabrication of biosensors for the early detection of cardiovascular diseases. Responsibilities of the position include the development of 2D materials-based biosensors for the detection of miRNAs. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment comprising PhD-level scientists, graduate students, and undergraduate students, thereby acquiring valuable skills in writing manuscripts and establishing collaborations across disciplines. Applicants must hold a PhD degree in the science/engineering field. They must also have excellent biosensing expertise; multi-year experience in clinical diagnostics is a plus. Description We are inviting applications for a Post-doctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in Economics with fields of research in Macroeconomics or Computational Social Science. The appointment is for 2 years and will begin September 1, 2026, subject to final budget approval and visa acquisition by the prospective postdoc candidate. The post-doctoral associate will spend half their time on independent research, and half their time on collaborative research with Professors Alaïs Martin-Baillon, Jordan Norris, and Samreen Malik. The collaborative research will be on macroeconomic expectations, with a focus on firms and the role of networks. An ideal candidate may have experience with surveys and have expertise in computational economics. The position does not require teaching, but it may be possible to get teaching experience for compensation. In cooperation with the research groups of Michael Wagner and Holger Daims the Djinovic Lab is involved in studies of physiology, structural biology, biochemistry, and ecology of nitrifying microorganisms with focus on complete ammonia oxidizers (comammox organisms).
