Research within the Department of Physics seeks to explore and explain fundamental aspects of the world we live in, from the smallest subatomic particles to the Universe as a whole. The department aims to expand its research in practical applications that drive technological progress and tackle global challenges. such as quantum technologies, advanced imaging, and innovations in materials science. The department is involved in the delivery of undergraduate physics and mathematics modules at all levels, as well as the PhD programme. Research interests in the Department of Physics currently include particle physics, condensed matter physics and materials science, dynamical systems, theoretical physics, and astrophysics. The Department of Physics encourages interdisciplinary collaborations with other units in the university, such as the School of Advanced Technology, the School of Science, the Design School, and the Academy of Pharmacy. The Department of Physics at XJTLU invites applications for a faculty position in the field of medical physics. We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual with expertise in areas such as diagnostic imaging, radiation physics, nuclear medicine, computational modeling in medical physics, or related theoretical and computational approaches.
