Nanjing University of Science and Technology was founded in Harbin in 1953.

It is one of seven Chinese universities affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and it has been successively a member of Project 211 and a Double First-Class rated institution.

The main campus is on Zijin Mountain with a second Jiangyin branch. 

Its 15 schools are divided into three clusters – mechanics and equipment, information and control, and chemical engineering and materials.

There are more than 1,000 international students. Joint degrees are operated with the Ecole Nationale d’Ingenieurs de Metz and with Coventry University, while its main international research collaborators are the Heimholtz Association of German Research Centres and two Singaporean institutions, National University and Nanyang Technical University.

Your personal sphere of influence: The Ries lab is developing super-resolution microscopy methods for structural cell biology and is looking for a PhD student to join the team. The Max Perutz Labs is a joint research institute of the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna. It was founded in 2005 to deepen the collaboration between the two universities in the field of molecular biosciences. Approximately 450 scientists from over 40 nations work in 40 research groups at the institute, investigating fundamental questions in molecular and cell biology. State-of-the-art research infrastructure supports their work in basic biomedical research. The employment duration is 3 years. lnitially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extension. With appropriate work progress, an extension to a total maximum of 4 years is possible. Your future tasks: You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means: Your main task is to complete and to submit your dissertation. You meet and consult with your supervisor(s) on a regular basis in order to priorities your tasks and get the necessary support to complete your dissertation successfully in time. You participate in your department's and the Doctoral School activities and workshops. You participate in conferences and publish research results in peer-reviewed journals. The Opportunity You will take a leading role in teaching, scholarship and academic service within the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Two full-time, ongoing roles are available, with one position based at Campbelltown Campus and one position based at Parramatta South Campus. You will contribute to course development and delivery across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, while supporting student progression and employability outcomes in line with University policy. You will design and deliver high-quality learning activities and resources, using appropriate assessment and feedback approaches across contemporary learning environments. You will provide academic support to students through individual consultations and cohort guidance, and you will contribute to course administration and academic quality assurance, including responsibilities as Course Authority.
