What ViCAS offers The University of Vienna offers multiple fellowships as part of its ViCAS Call 2027-2028 for funded residencies starting 1 October 2027 (4 or 9 months) or 1 March 2028 (4 months).The residential ViCAS fellowship programmes foster meaningful engagement among fellows and with researchers at the University of Vienna. The post is for at least one year, and renewable for subsequent years, up to three years, subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or Statistics. Preference will be given to those whose research interests focus on Probability Theory, in particular Random Geometry. Successful applicants are expected to work in the research group of Prof. Wei Qian (https://qian.perso.math.cnrs.fr/), and to participate in the usual activities (such as seminars, colloquiums and workshops) of the probability group in the department.
