Work that matters The Common Core is a flagship suite of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary courses reflecting six knowledge areas. Following the initial delivery of Common Core courses in Semester 1 2026, we are now building on this foundation as we prepare for Semester 2. This next phase reflects both the scale of the Common Core and the learnings gained through first delivery. Teaching within the Common Core involves facilitating a weekly 2-hour workshop (face-to-face or online equivalent) across the duration of the semester, along with associated teaching responsibilities. We are seeking teaching staff who can commit to the full semester delivery period. Onboarding and training will commence in the week beginning 20 July 2026, with teaching commencing in the week beginning 03 August 2026. The Common Core Courses for Semester 2 are: An Ethically Rich Life Fact or Fiction: Data for Everyone Igniting Change: Ideas to Action Responsible AI: Bridging Ethics, Education and Industry Core Responsibilities: Facilitate engaging and inclusive workshop-based learning activities across face-to-face, online, and blended learning environments. Support richly multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary student learning experiences through interactive teaching approaches that encourage discussion, collaboration, critical thinking, and active participation. Use appropriate digital learning tools and technologies to support student engagement, communication, assessment, and feedback, including tools such as discussion boards, breakout groups, online whiteboards, Mentimeter, Miro, and Canvas SpeedGrader. Provide constructive and timely feedback to students in alignment with course requirements and University expectations. Contribute positively to a collaborative and collegial teaching environment, including participation in relevant onboarding, meetings, and teaching activities as required. The role is part of the ARC E2Crop Hub and the Centre for Atomaterials and Nanomanufacturing at RMIT University. These programs focus on developing technologies for energy-efficient systems, renewable energy integration, advanced materials, sensing, and sustainable production. The position involves supporting research that spans both fundamental studies and applied outcomes, with applications in energy systems, environmental monitoring, advanced manufacturing, and controlled environment agriculture. About You Proficiency in programming languages, including Python, C++, or Java, focusing on algorithms and data structures applied explicitly in computer vision projects Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning frameworks, including TensorFlow or PyTorch Knowledge of neural networks - especially convolutional neural networks (CNNs) Understanding of image processing techniques - including filtering, edge detection, and image segmentation- for manipulating images Familiarity with computer vision libraries, like OpenCV or Dlib, for developing and implementing vision-based models Familiar with 3D refractive imaging technique with demonstratable track record. As the Energy & Sustainability Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective operation and optimisation of the University’s sustainability strategy, energy strategy and operational delivery of energy efficiency initiatives. The Energy & Sustainability Manager will lead on design and implementation of all Energy and Sustainability activities across various university properties. The Energy & Sustainability Manager will collaborate with stakeholders, including managers, engineers, and technical staff, to enhance energy and sustainability performance and overall compliance with government regulations in relation to energy and sustainability. Reporting to the Head of Capital Development or their nominee, the successful candidate will work as part of a team in a busy, challenging, and highly automated environment. The Estates Team provides support to both Maynooth University and our campus partners, St. Patricks College Maynooth across a variety of services including HVAC systems, mechanical and electrical, lighting and other operational systems on the estate and have overall responsibility for energy and sustainability on campus. It is expected that the successful candidate will improve energy and sustainability performance and overall compliance with government regulations in relation to energy and sustainability. They should therefore have a working understanding of the differing challenges of each of these environments. The Energy & Sustainability Manager will assist in leading the on-site direct labour staff and oversee contractor performance to ensure that energy and sustainability goals are achieved with a focus on continuous improvement. This includes support to On Campus accommodation (both North and South Campus). About the role: The Department of Classics at King’s College London is seeking to appoint a full-time, permanent lecturer specialising in Greek Art. Applications are sought from candidates with recognised expertise in the visual and material culture of the mid-first millennium BCE in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean. Evidence of engagement with the wider Afro-Eurasian context of classical Greek art and/or its later reception would be an advantage, fitting with the department’s commitment to a broader approach to the past via our new BA and MA in Classics and the Ancient World. You will teach on our first-year survey module, ‘The Art and Archaeology of Ancient Greece and Rome’, and develop new modules in your area of specialism for second- and third-year undergraduates as well as for our masters programmes.
