About RoboPrecinct@PDD SmartPrecinct@PDD initiative aims to develop a precinct-scale robotics and embodied AI ecosystem at Punggol Digital District (PDD). The programme establishes shared digital infrastructure, regulatory frameworks (including cybersecurity and safety), embodied AI capabilities, industry collaborations, and real-world test-bedding environments to enable safe and scaled deployment of robots in PDD. The Programme Manager will lead the Programme Office and support the strategic planning, development, coordination, and governance of the SmartPrecinct@PDD programme. Key Responsibilities Programme management Reporting to the Lead PI of the SmartPrecinct@PDD programme, the Senior Programme Manager will oversee the overall execution and progress monitoring across multiple work packages in the programme. Coordinate multi-disciplinary activities to ensure alignment of technical development, infrastructure deployment, and regulatory initiatives. Support the principal investigators (PIs) to conduct technical integration between work packages where applicable. Track programme milestones, deliverables, budget, and reporting to the grantor and institution leadership. Supervise other Programme Office staff and coordinate administrative support functions. Stakeholder and governance management Lead engagement with government agencies and other stakeholders to develop governance frameworks for robot operations in PDD. Coordinate development of policies and agreements related to robot certification, data sharing, safety compliance, and cybersecurity standards. Support programme steering committees by preparing briefings, reports, and strategic updates. Ecosystem development Identify strategic collaborations with new industry and public sector partners to grow the SmartPrecinct@PDD ecosystem. Support programme expansion initiatives and new funding opportunities. Requirements Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering, robotics, computer science, AI, cybersecurity, or a related field. Ideally 10+ years of relevant experience in programme management, technology development, or public-sector innovation initiatives, with strong technical background in related fields. Experience managing large multi-stakeholder projects involving government agencies, industry partners, and research institutions. Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Proven ability to manage complex programmes involving multiple technical teams and deliverables. Excellent communication and leadership skills. *Note: The incumbent will be appointed as REsearch Engineer/Research Fellow if successful.

Description The S.M.A.R.T. Construction Research Group at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), led by Prof. Borja García de Soto, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Associate to conduct interdisciplinary research at the intersection of digital construction technologies and cybersecurity. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research focused on improving the security, resilience, and trustworthiness of the increasingly digitalized and connected built environment. Applicants with expertise in construction engineering and management, computer science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, robotics, digital twins, Building Information Modeling (BIM), or related disciplines are encouraged to apply. The S.M.A.R.T. Construction Research Group conducts world-leading research to advance the digital transformation of the architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO) industry through automation, artificial intelligence, robotics, digital twins, BIM, and technology integration. A defining aspect of the group's research is the incorporation of cybersecurity considerations into emerging construction technologies to enable secure, resilient, and trustworthy digital ecosystems throughout the lifecycle of the built environment. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment and collaborate with faculty and researchers across NYU Abu Dhabi, the NYU Global Network, and leading international academic and industry partners. The successful candidate is expected to conduct high-quality, independent research leading to publications in leading peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Responsibilities include developing innovative research methodologies and decision-support frameworks, designing and implementing experimental studies, analyzing and interpreting research findings, contributing to proposal development, mentoring graduate and undergraduate researchers, and collaborating with multidisciplinary research teams. Depending on the candidate's expertise, research activities may involve cybersecurity risk assessment for construction technologies, secure digital twins, AI-enabled cybersecurity, cyber-physical systems, robotics and automation security, Building Information Modeling, technology integration, or other related topics that support the secure digitalization of the built environment. Applicants must hold a PhD in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, or a closely related field by the anticipated start date. The applicant must also be no more than five years post receipt of the PhD. The ideal candidate will have a strong publication record, demonstrated research experience in one or more of the group's core research areas, and a proven ability to conduct independent, high-impact research. Experience in cybersecurity for cyber-physical systems, digital twins, BIM, AI and machine learning, robotics, or digital construction technologies is highly desirable. Strong programming and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and multicultural research teams are essential. Description New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a Junior Research Scientist to join an exciting multidisciplinary research program investigating the environmental and ecological drivers of productive fishing grounds in the United Arab Emirates. Working in partnership with Emirates Nature–WWF and government stakeholders, the successful candidate will support marine ecological surveys, fisheries monitoring, and environmental assessments that will contribute to evidence-based fisheries management and habitat restoration. The Junior Research Scientist will become part of a multidisciplinary team undertaking ecological field surveys, environmental monitoring, habitat assessments, and fisheries research throughout the UAE. The role combines regular fieldwork with laboratory and data analysis, providing opportunities to contribute to applied research that directly supports marine conservation and sustainable fisheries management. Working closely with researchers from Mubadala ACCESS, the successful candidate will assist with the collection, processing, analysis, and interpretation of biological and environmental data, while contributing to technical reports, scientific publications, and stakeholder outputs. Responsibilities include supporting marine field surveys, including fish community assessments, benthic habitat monitoring, underwater visual surveys, and environmental sampling. The successful candidate will assist with the deployment and maintenance of environmental monitoring equipment, process biological and environmental samples, maintain accurate field records, and contribute to data management and preliminary statistical analyses. The Junior Research Scientist will also participate in laboratory activities, support field logistics and equipment preparation, contribute to technical reports and scientific publications, and assist with workshops and stakeholder engagement activities as required. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marine Biology, Marine Science, Fisheries Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline. Master's with less than 5 years of research experience in the relevant field, or a Bachelor's degree with any level of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience participating in marine field surveys and collecting biological or environmental data. Experience with coral reef or fisheries monitoring, SCUBA diving certification, and proficiency in statistical software such as R are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to undertake regular fieldwork in challenging marine environments.
