Mus Alparslan University is one of 17 new universities created by Turkey’s government in 2007. It is based in Guzeltepe village outside Mus, a predominantly Kurdish city on Turkey’s East Anatolian plateau. Having started with schools of education, healthcare, vocational social science and vocational technical science in 2007, by 2015 it had added arts and science, economic and administrative science, communications, engineering and the Malazgirt Vocational High School. More recent additions include dentistry, applied science, physical education and sports science and four more vocational high schools, including one specialised in health sciences. Notable developments include the introduction of Kurdish Language and Literature classes and the creation of a pilot project in Livestock and Digital Transformation. In 2024 science and arts students devised experiments in biology, medicine and genetics for the flight of Turkey’s first astronaut.

Position Summary The College of Computing at Illinois Tech is expanding its global presence through the establishment of a new campus in Mumbai, India. Position Summary Illinois Institute of Technology invites applications for Assistant and Associate Professor faculty positions at its Mumbai campus. These positions focus on delivering high-quality undergraduate and graduate instruction in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science, while contributing to curriculum development and the growth of Illinois Tech’s academic programs in Mumbai. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, student engagement, and academic leadership. Senior faculty members will also play a key role in mentoring junior faculty, contributing to program development, and strengthening the academic environment of the new campus. Research Fellows in Marine Biogeochemistry

We are seeking to recruit 2 Research Fellows in Marine Biogeochemistry to undertake research into the processes controlling biological productivity and trace element supply in the Southern Ocean. Based within the School of Ocean and Earth Science (SOES) of the University of Southampton and located at the National Oceanography Southampton (NOCS), the role will focus on the analysis of samples and observational and experimental data from the Southern Ocean within the NERC funded ‘Iron and Manganese Impacts on the Future of Southern Ocean Ecosystems (Iron-Man)’ project.  Applicants should have a PhD* or equivalent in biological oceanography / marine biogeochemistry (or a related field). You would be expected to undertake sample and data analyses originating from the recent research expedition associated with the project and disseminate key aspects of the research project related to phytoplankton ecophysiology, trace element supply and biogeochemical cycling. Knowledge or experience of at sea observational and/or experimental work, or data analysis thereof, related to phytoplankton/microbial ecology/physiology and trace elements would be advantageous. Strong quantitative and communication skills, and the ability to conduct innovative research resulting in publications in international refereed journals are essential. The successful applicants will be provided with a supportive and rewarding environment for further development of their knowledge, skills and experience, including through working as part of a large interdisciplinary oceanographic team comprised of sea-going phytoplankton and zooplankton ecologists, nutrient and trace metal biogeochemists and experts in ocean modelling. Under the guidance and support of the project (co-)PIs you will be encouraged to explore your own research interests, within the broader constraints of the overall project objectives. You will join a team led by Profs. Mark Moore, Maeve Lohan and Tom Bibby at SOES and will work closely with scientists at project partner institutions across the UK (Universities of Exeter, Liverpool, Plymouth and East Anglia and the National Oceanography Centre) as well as with our international partners.  We are committed to creating an environment where everyone can thrive and aim to foster a culture of inclusion, respect and equality of opportunity within our consortium. The Role and Department The Department's undergraduate curriculum is notable for its historical and cultural breadth, combining compulsory modules in Theory, Shakespeare and an independent Dissertation, with a range of period-based modules taught by lectures and tutorials, and research-led special topic semininars. There are thriving MA programmes in English Literary Studies and in Creative Writing, and a lively community of PhD students. Applications are invited for a Teaching Fellow in Medieval Literature . This is a 1.0 FTE position for 12 months only. The successful applicant will: potentially contribute to the Department's provision of Old English deliver lectures as required in these areas supervise Level 3 undergraduate dissertations potentially supervise MA theses contribute to lively and stimulating small group teaching, in person undertake assessment and examination of UG and MA student work, in and beyond Medieval literature act as an Academic Advisor to a group of UG students participate in the meetings of the Department as appropriate pursue opportunities for personal development The post-holder will report to the Head of Department.
