Experience in teaching, training, or education is an advantage. Interest and knowledge in psychotherapy research and community psychology research are additional assets. The appointee is expected to demonstrate independent, flexible, and innovative working styles, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The appointee will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses and capstone project supervision including fostering experiential learning opportunities and promoting compassionate pedagogy throughout the BSocSc(Counselling) and BSW curriculum, as well as networking with agencies to facilitate capstone/internship placements and career development opportunities. Description The Research Center on Stability, Instability and Turbulence (SITE) a center of the Research Institute, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to work in the fluid mechanics laboratory for experimental fluid dynamics.  SITE is inviting applications for fully-funded postdoctoral research associate positions. SITE is highly interdisciplinary and aims to develop novel enabling technology on hydrodynamic stability analysis that has applications in the study of the development of singularities, the long-time behavior of complex systems, the formation of spatial patterns, the transition between stability and instability, and the first steps of transition towards turbulence that appear in several disciplines across science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and innovation. Candidates must hold (or be close to completing) a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Physics and Applied Physics or a related field. Working in a newly established fluid dynamics laboratory at NYU Abu Dhabi, candidates are expected to have a strong interest in experimental research and collaborate with applied mathematicians closely.
