Position Summary The Lecturer (Early Career Faculty)/ Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor in IT & AI (Level A/B/C) will play a pivotal role in advancing teaching, research, and curriculum innovation within the Information Technology Program under the College of Arts, Business, Law, Education and IT. This position focuses on integrating Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) into teaching, research, and industry engagement. The successful candidate will contribute to program growth by modernising courses, increasing student enrolments, and strengthening expertise in AI, cybersecurity, data science, and ICT management. Indicative Areas of Expertise Artificial Intelligence & Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, copilots) Cybersecurity & Network Management Data Science & Analytics Cloud & Mobile Application Development Software Development & UI/UX ICT & Project Management Key Responsibilities 1. Teaching & Coordination Deliver and coordinate IT units across onshore and transnational campuses (Sydney, Brisbane, Sri Lanka, China). Integrate GenAI tools (LLM APIs, RAG systems, copilots like Claude Code/OpenAI Codex) into at least two units annually. Design assessments, ensure marking consistency, and maintain academic standards. 2. Curriculum Innovation & Student Experience Lead course modernisation using GenAI-driven teaching methodologies (flipped, hybrid, online). Continuously update curriculum aligned with industry trends and emerging technologies. Enhance student engagement and support enrolment growth initiatives. 3. Research & Scholarship Conduct applied research in LLMs, AI, and related domains. Publish high-quality research (minimum one Q1 or CORE A* paper annually). Develop demonstrable AI systems for lab use and online showcases. 4. Supervision & Mentoring Design innovative honours, master’s, and capstone projects involving GenAI applications. Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research students. 5. Service & Industry Engagement Contribute to research grant proposals and industry collaborations. Participate in academic administration, quality assurance, and compliance activities. Engage with industry partners and maintain cross-cultural collaboration.   Qualifications & Selection Criteria Essential Assistant Professor: PhD (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline. Lecturer (Early Career Faculty): Master’s degree and/or currently a PhD candidate in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline. Relevant teaching experience Demonstrated expertise in GenAI/LLMs (API integration, RAG, copilots). Strong teaching capability across IT domains. Proven research track record (Q1 / CORE A* publications). Experience in curriculum development and GenAI integration. Ability to design real-world AI-driven systems. An enthusiastic and creative team of medical educators are working within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences to develop a new School of Medicine, and we are looking for a Lead for Quality Assurance to join the team at this exciting time. The successful candidate will focus on supporting the Course Director with quality assurance and student progress over the four years of the School of Medicine curriculum. Our innovative programme aims to produce a new type of doctor - excellent and holistic clinical leaders who can drive change, delivering integrated and technologically advanced healthcare for their patients and communities. The programme will have a particular emphasis on digital and communication health technology (a research strength at Surrey), as well as a ‘One Health’ ethos that promotes understanding of a ‘whole society’ approach to health and builds on our aims to develop truly interprofessional training. The role The post holder will work alongside the Course Director, supporting them in the leadership and delivery of the School’s quality assurance processes over all four years. They will deputise in chairing the Student Progress and Support Committee (SPSC), ensuring our students have the support they need to meet the required learning outcomes of the course. Alongside this, they will contribute to teaching across a range of areas including biomedical sciences, general medicine and specialties. The post-holder will support Surrey medical students by delivering high quality large and small group teaching, including case-based learning, team-based learning, special study units and clinical and communication skills sessions. In addition, we would expect the post holder to contribute to our admissions process, to standard setting, writing knowledge test questions and OSCEs, and to support OSCE examining. About you To join us at this exciting time, you’ll need to be a forward-looking individual with a ‘can do’ attitude and the ambition to drive innovation in medical education, with particular expertise in clinical skills. You’ll have full registration with the GMC and a higher professional qualification (usually a doctoral degree or equivalent).  In addition to these qualifications, you’ll have experience of providing high quality teaching and will be able to demonstrate a significant academic publication record and evidence of scholarly contributions to conferences, professional meetings, and societies. An excellent communicator and leader, you’ll have the ability to use tact, diplomacy, and empathy to build effective working relationships at all levels and influence, persuade and negotiate effectively. Description The Center for Brain and Health (CBH) (https://brainandhealth.org/) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a Research Scientist to explore scientific questions related to an in-progress normative brain database. The Research Scientist will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for collection, c, MEG, EEG, and eye tracking. The tentpole of the CBH is a normative brain database - the first of its kind in the region - that includes structural, functional, and diffusion MRI, behavioral and health measures, genetic information, and lifestyle questionnaires Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Psychology, MR Physics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Postdoctoral experience or equivalent is preferred. This position requires extensive experience with multimodal MRI, including functional and structural MRI and tractography. Experience with big data analysis techniques is essential. Experience working with other large brain databases is preferred.
