MIT Art, Design and Technology University (MIT-ADT University) was established under the MIT Art, Design & Technology University Act of 2015, and began academic operations in 2016. It is part of the renowned MIT Group of Institutions, founded by Prof. Dr Vishwanath D. Karad under the MAEER trust.
The Rajbaug campus, located in Loni Kalbhor on the outskirts of Pune, a city in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, is the university’s main campus. It stretches over 100 acres and is situated along the banks of the Mutha River.
Academically, MIT-ADT University comprises 17 schools, including the MIT Institute of Design, the School of Engineering, the School of Management, the Institute of Fine Art and Applied Art, schools of Film and Television, Architecture, Drama, and Food Technology, as well as the School of Corporate Innovation and Leadership, among others.
Across these, it offers a diverse range of programmes including approximately 30 undergraduate and 70 postgraduate courses, addressing areas from design and technology to performing arts, engineering, media, and broadcasting.
Its Incubation Centre fosters start-up ideas and supports students in product development, while finishing schools and industry-linked programmes improve employability.
