We are seeking an Assistant Librarian, Academic Engagement, Teaching & Learning to identify and respond to university, faculty and departmental needs, and promote and advocate the use of Library resources, facilities and services accordingly. They will play a key role in engaging with the academic community and delivering the Library’s strategy as an active member of the Teaching and Learning team and as part of the wider library team  Salary: Assistant Librarian (Grade II): €45,792 – €64,302 p.a. pro rata at 0.5FTE (9 points) Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions. Experience To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:   Qualifications  Qualification in Veterinary Science acceptable for registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of South Australia Specialist or specialist-eligible qualifications in Small Animal Internal Medicine (depending on level), including FANZCVS, DACVIM or ECVIM Doctoral qualification (required for Associate Professor level) Level B you will need Qualification in Veterinary Science acceptable for registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of South Australia. Proven ability to contribute independently to a clinical referral service in internal medicine. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of clinical and teaching teams. Desirable - Specialist qualifications in Small Animal Internal Medicine, i.e. Australian Fellowship (FANZCVS), or Diplomat of the American or European Colleges (DACVIM or ECVIM). Level C you will need Qualification in Veterinary Science acceptable for registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of South Australia. Demonstrated ability to independently deliver and further develop a clinical referral service in small animal internal medicine. Evidence of significant contributions to the teaching effort of a department, school or faculty in small animal medicine at tertiary level. Evidence of primary and/or senior authorship on scientific publications within peer reviewed journals. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of clinical, teaching and research teams. Level D you will need Doctoral level research degree. Qualification in Veterinary Science acceptable for registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of South Australia. Proven ability to lead a clinical referral service in internal medicine. Proven ability to train small animal medicine residents to specialist level. Evidence of significant contributions to the teaching effort of a department, school or faculty in small animal medicine at tertiary level. Strong publication track record in peer reviewed international journals and evidence of the ability to attract research funding. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of clinical, teaching and research teams. Ref.: 534446 Work type: Full-time Department: School of Public Health (22400) Categories: Senior Research Staff & Post-doctoral Fellow Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor (RAP) in Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 534446), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research (Ph.D., D.Sc., Dr.P.H. or equivalent) in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health or a related discipline. They should demonstrate (i) evidence of international recognition and scholarship; (ii) the ability to work across disciplines towards new research initiatives; (iii) a strong track record of high-quality research as indicated by publications and external grants; and (iv) a strong commitment to engage students in inquiry-based learning at postgraduate level. Relevant work experience in infectious disease epidemiology, and an excellent record of publications and grants would be advantages. The appointee will conduct epidemiological research with a focus on generating data on COVID-19/influenza epidemiology and control to support evidence-based policies. He/She will develop research programmes independently; write scientific publications, grant proposals and reports. He/She will teach public health courses relevant to infectious diseases, epidemiology and biostatistics; supervise junior research staff and students; and assist in administrative, operational and other duties as assigned.
