Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research (Ph.D., D.Sc., Dr.P.H. or equivalent) in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health or a related discipline. They should demonstrate (i) evidence of international recognition and scholarship; (ii) the ability to work across disciplines towards new research initiatives; (iii) a strong track record of high-quality research as indicated by publications and external grants; and (iv) a strong commitment to engage students in inquiry-based learning at postgraduate level. Relevant work experience in infectious disease epidemiology, and an excellent record of publications and grants would be advantages. The appointee will conduct epidemiological research with a focus on generating data on COVID-19/influenza epidemiology and control to support evidence-based policies. He/She will develop research programmes independently; write scientific publications, grant proposals and reports. He/She will teach public health courses relevant to infectious diseases, epidemiology and biostatistics; supervise junior research staff and students; and assist in administrative, operational and other duties as assigned.
