MINES ParisTech – officially École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris – is one of the most prominent engineering schools in France and is continually rated among the top universities in France.

Founded in 1783, the university coincided with the discovery than mining was a high-technology industry. Naturally, ever since, MINES ParisTech has followed the development of the industry and teaches the next generation.

ParisTech includes 12 prestigious institutes of education and research composed of several engineering and business schools, and MINES ParisTech is one of the founding members of the cluster.

The university focuses its research on five major fields, which include: earth sciences and environment, energy and process engineering, mechanical and materials engineering, mathematics and systems, and economics, management and society.

Located in central Paris’s Latin Quarter – a district near the river Seine – its location provides a hub of activity for students with an an array of restaurants, cinemas, museums and evolving exhibitions.

The university library possesses one of the largest scientific and technical collections across the whole of France, and collections date back to the sixteenth century with books, periodicals, manuscripts and maps. Material is particularly rich relating to mining, the metal industry, mineralogy and chemistry.

The university has a number of international partner schools from America to Europe which has enabled the university to form strong bonds to other successful institutions across the world. 

A large number of French Nobel Prize winners went to MINES ParisTech, in particular Georges Charpak and Maurice Allais.

All students have (free) access to the Mineralogy Museum, which is located in the former Hôtel de Vendôme. The museum is considered one of the top collections in the world and serves as a constant reference for those working and studying within mineralogy.

Notable alumni include Maurice Allais, a Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences 1988, Louis Paul Cailletet (1832–1913), a physicist and inventor, and Jean-Martin Folz, former CEO of PSA Peugeot Citroën.

Until 2017 Mines ParisTech was ranked as a separate institution in the THE World University Rankings. Since the 2018 World University Rankings, Mines ParisTech has been ranked as part of Paris Sciences et Lettres – PSL Research University Paris.

Applications are invited for Research Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law, to commence on September 1, 2026 or as soon as possible, for two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal. The Faculty of Law is the longest established law school in Hong Kong. It plays a leading role in legal education in Hong Kong and Asia, through its various undergraduate, research postgraduate, and taught postgraduate programmes covering a wide range of legal subject areas. It is the largest and oldest law teaching institution in Hong Kong, currently consisting of over 80 teaching members and over 2,600 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Faculty welcomes applications from outstanding candidates who specialize in Law and Low-Altitude Economy. Applicants should normally have a first degree in Law (eg LLB, BA(Jurisprudence) and JD), and an additional postgraduate degree in Law (eg LLM, PhD, D Phil and SJD). Those who do not have an additional postgraduate degree in Law are also encouraged to apply if there is evidence of a strong publication record and relevant experience in teaching, legal practice or the judiciary, or if they possess a postgraduate degree in a non-law discipline. Job Description SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS Project MuSE Project MuSE is a multi-year transformational education project. The scope of the project covers a wide range of opportunities for the under-privileged, gifted students, parents' engagement, community music, industry-higher education collaboration, and curriculum development such as the use of EdTech, art-tech, interdisciplinary learning, cross-cultural studies, and performance and pedagogical research. A key component of the project includes a new 5-6 year music programme that includes an in-school/after-school instrumental ensemble-based music training for primary school students. Part-Time Instrumental Instructor (25260513) Responsibilities: Provide instrumental group training classes to participating primary schools; Communicate and coordinate lessons with project team and participating schools; Proactively seek innovative ways in instrumental teaching; Assist in carrying out program content designed by project team; and Perform any other duties, such as school performances and instrument demonstrations, as assigned to support the successful operation of the project and the school. Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Gastroenterology or a relevant field. Specialty certification in Gastroenterology (Board Certification or equivalent) and relevant clinical experience. Eligibility for full, unrestricted medical licensure in Greece, permitting independent practice of Gastroenterology. Conduct high-impact research in Gastroenterology, securing external funding to establish and sustain these programmes.
