Mindoro State University is a public higher education institution in the Philippines, located in the province of Oriental Mindoro. It was originally established in 1951 as the Mindoro National Agricultural School and later developed into the Mindoro State College of Agriculture and Technology in 1995. It attained university status in 2013.
The university operates a multi-campus system, with its main campus in Victoria and additional campuses in Calapan City and Bongabong.
Situated on Mindoro Island in the MIMAROPA region of the Philippines, the province is known for its agricultural productivity and rich natural landscapes. The island’s economy is strongly linked to agriculture, fisheries, and eco-tourism.
The university offers degree programmes across a range of disciplines, including agriculture and allied sciences, fisheries, engineering and technology, education, business and management, information technology, criminal justice, and the arts and sciences. These are delivered through several colleges and institutes, supporting both undergraduate and graduate education.
The Research and Development Programme is designed to contribute to socio-economic growth in the region. Throughout the academic year, research is carried out in a variety of fields including environment and agricultural practices, waste management, and organic farming.
