Middle Technical University is a non-profit public, co-educational university on Muasker Al Rashid Street in Baghdad, Iraq. There are also campuses in Baquba, Al-Kut, Al Anbar and Al-Suwaira. Founded in 1955 by the Iraqi-American Science Association, an organisation ministered by Jesuit fathers, it has been officially accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq for five years, since 2014. Middle Technical University is a very large university, with over 40,000 undergraduate students, around 280 master's students and 12 PhD students across 11 technical institutes and five technical colleges in 152 academic and administrative buildings. The university offers courses and programmes leading to qualifications including certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees, bachelor degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees. It includes the college of electrical engineering technology, the college of health and medical technology, the technical college of management, the technical engineering college and the college of applied arts. MTU is not very selective, with an admission rate range of about 80 to 90 per cent of all those who apply. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment with costs varying depending on course and degree level. Students have to pay additional costs for room, board and other external costs. The campus includes a library, housing and sport facilities. The official colours are blue and white

(pro-rata) Location: Larrakia – Darwin View Position Description Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT At Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT, our aim is to be a hub for innovative health research, education, and workforce development across the Northern Territory. We engage with students, community, and stakeholders to provide critical programs, such as the Northern Territory Medical Program, Paramedicine, Rural Clinical School, and the University Department of Rural Health. Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program), provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training, and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. About the Role This senior academic position provides visionary research leadership to advance health workforce capability in remote and isolated communities, with a strong focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. The Professor will lead culturally safe, community‑driven research in partnership with Elders and local leaders, strengthening collaborations, attracting significant external research income, and establishing an emerging research program on an international scale. The role also guides staff, HDR students, and early‑career researchers, contributing to strategic research planning and capacity building across the College of Medicine and Public Health. Lead a distinguished program of culturally safe, community‑initiated research to improve health service capability and develop a resilient workforce in the Torres Strait and other isolated communities. Build strong partnerships with Elders, community leaders, government and external organisations, strengthening local, national and international research collaborations. Drive strategic research planning, secure substantial competitive research funding, and elevate the program’s international research profile. Description The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated Junior Research Scientist to work under the supervision of Dr. Marwa Chafii on Channel Modeling for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC). Responsibilities: Lead the design, setup, and execution of ISAC channel measurement campaigns across multiple environments, hardware platforms, and frequency bands Develop, validate, and document ISAC channel modeling methodologies tailored to the lab’s hardware/software testbed. Integrate SDRs (e.g., USRPs, RFSoC) and RF front-ends (FR2, FR3, V-band) into end-to-end ISAC demonstrators. Implement and optimize advanced signal processing algorithms for joint communication and sensing. Analyze experimental datasets, extract statistical models, and compare findings across environments, hardware, and frequency bands. Collaborate with PhD students, postdocs, and faculty on joint projects, ensuring experimental results support theoretical work. Co-author scientific publications in IEEE journals and conferences, and contribute to open datasets/methodologies for the research community. Requirements: Education: B.Sc. with any level of experience, or M.Sc. with less than 5 years of experience, in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related field. SDR Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SDRs (USRP, RFSoC, or equivalent). FPGA programming experience is a plus. Programming Skills: Strong experience with MATLAB and/or Python; experience with C++ for high-performance signal processing is a plus. Experimentation: Proven experience developing wireless prototypes, demonstrators, or proof-of-concept systems. Signal Processing: Solid knowledge of channel estimation, channel sounding, and multipath modeling (channel impulse response, frequency response, MIMO models, AoA, AoD, delay, Doppler, etc). RF Systems: Familiarity with RF front-ends, antennas, calibration, synchronization, and over-the-air testing. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment, working with researchers and engineers at different seniority levels. Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills for preparing technical reports, presentations, and publications. Independence: Proven ability to work independently, from problem formulation, experimental design, and system integration to data analysis and reporting.
