The Role The Department of Archaeology at Durham University seeks to appoint a talented researcher to the role of Postdoctoral Research Associate. The successful candidate will have expertise in bioarchaeology, with particular experience in the analysis of infants. They will be responsible for developing digital resources from existing materials to upskill archaeological and forensic science professionals in the excavation and analysis of infant skeletal remains from archaeological and forensic contexts. These resources will contribute towards the Continuing Professional Development of relevant practitioners, as well as provide key learning resources for interested parties. The successful applicant will be expected to work collaboratively with other technical staff to develop and create appropriate resources. The Role and the Department Reporting to the Assistant Director (Financial Planning & Reporting), this senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing and continuously improving key elements of the University's Financial Planning & Reporting (FP&R) function as they impact on the Professional Services & Colleges across Durham University: The post holder will provide strategic financial leadership and direction across the following core areas: Forecasting and Financial Modelling - Leading the development and continuous enhancement of high quality financial forecasts, medium and long term modelling, and scenario analysis to support strategic and operational decision making. Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong, with the attainment of the status as Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or equivalent. They should display strong clinical acumen and skills in the relevant specialty, with demonstrated experience in teaching medical students, interns and trainees. Proven capacity to initiate and contribute to basic, clinical and/or translational research is essential. It is also advantageous to have a higher academic qualification (e.g. MD, MS, PhD). Appointees will play a strategic role to play in growing the clinical services. They shall also focus on the education of medical students, postgraduate teaching and supervision, as well as academic research. They may be assigned to discharge duties at hospital(s) and clinic(s) affiliated with HKU Health System.
