Mashreq University is a private university located in Khartoum North in Sudan. The university was established in 2003 as Al-Mashreq College for Science and Technology, and received full university status in 2010 by the Sudanese Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The university has faculties in medicine, nursing, medical laboratory sciences, engineering, computer science and IT, communication sciences, economics and administrative sciences and physiotherapy. The language of instruction of the university is both English and Arabic. The university has incorporated software-based learning and has also been promoting distant learning in recent years.

Markéta Pernisová, Ph.D., as part of the TowArds Next GENeration Crops (TANGENC) project, which focuses on novel breeding techniques for crop improvement. The research will primarily investigate the hormonal regulation of plant in vitro regeneration and shoot development. Additionally, the researcher will participate in the development of molecular tools and protocols for genome editing, transformation, and plant regeneration. Developing and improving plant genetic engineering resources - such as transgenics and genome editing - requires the collaborative efforts of multiple groups with complementary expertise. Our team members have extensive experience managing research projects and teams, maintaining international collaborations, and publishing in high-impact scientific journals. About the opportunity The Project Officer provides project management and operational support across a range of initiatives within the Faculty of Science.
