About Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation

Basic information and contact details for Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation is a private, non-sectarian university located in Lucena City in the province of Quezon, Philippines. It was established in 1947 as Luzonian Colleges by Dr Manuel Sarmiento Enverga, shortly after the Second World War, with the aim of expanding access to higher education in a region where educational provision had been disrupted.

The institution was granted university status in 1968 and later became a foundation in 1970. In 1983, it was renamed Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation in recognition of its founder and his role in developing the institution into a regional centre for higher education in Southern Luzon.

The university’s main campus is in Lucena City, with additional campuses located across Quezon Province in Candelaria, Catanauan, Sampaloc, San Antonio and Calauag. It serves several thousand students across undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programmes, supported by a range of academic departments and administrative services.

The institution is organised into a number of colleges and schools, including the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Engineering, College of Education, College of Computing and Multimedia Studies, College of Criminal Justice and Criminology, College of Maritime Education, College of Architecture and Fine Arts, and the Enverga Law School. It also offers graduate study provision and technical and vocational education pathways.

The university maintains international partnerships across Asia, North America and the Middle East, supporting academic exchange, research collaboration and student mobility opportunities.
