Mansoura National University

Mansoura University was formally established in 1972 following a presidential decree. Having been originally named "East Delta University,” it adopted the name Mansoura University a year later, in 1973. Its origins, however, trace back to 1962 when the Faculty of Medicine was opened as a branch of Cairo University, testament to its early commitment to medical education.

Today, Mansoura University comprises a wide range of faculties including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, engineering, agriculture, commerce, law, science, education, arts, computers and information, nursing, veterinary medicine, physical education, tourism and hotels, fine arts, kindergarten and early childhood education, and specific education. 

Supporting facilities include extensive student services such as dormitories, social clubs, libraries, a modern kitchen, and university hospitals for clinical training. The university also provides various opportunities for sports, cultural events, and artistic activities, contributing to a vibrant campus life outside the classroom. 

Beyond its academic portfolio, the university fosters applied learning through specialised research centres and hospitals. Notable initiatives include its Urology & Nephrology Centre and Medical Experimental Research Centre, hubs where clinical training and research converge.
