Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong, with the attainment of the status as Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or equivalent. They should display strong clinical acumen and skills in the relevant specialty, with demonstrated experience in teaching medical students, interns and trainees. Proven capacity to initiate and contribute to basic, clinical and/or translational research is essential. It is also advantageous to have a higher academic qualification (e.g. MD, MS, PhD). Appointees will play a strategic role to play in growing the clinical services. They shall also focus on the education of medical students, postgraduate teaching and supervision, as well as academic research. They may be assigned to discharge duties at hospital(s) and clinic(s) affiliated with HKU Health System.
