About RoboPrecinct@PDD SmartPrecinct@PDD initiative aims to develop a precinct-scale robotics and embodied AI ecosystem at Punggol Digital District (PDD). The programme establishes shared digital infrastructure, regulatory frameworks (including cybersecurity and safety), embodied AI capabilities, industry collaborations, and real-world test-bedding environments to enable safe and scaled deployment of robots in PDD. The Programme Manager will lead the Programme Office and support the strategic planning, development, coordination, and governance of the SmartPrecinct@PDD programme. Key Responsibilities Programme management Reporting to the Lead PI of the SmartPrecinct@PDD programme, the Senior Programme Manager will oversee the overall execution and progress monitoring across multiple work packages in the programme. Coordinate multi-disciplinary activities to ensure alignment of technical development, infrastructure deployment, and regulatory initiatives. Support the principal investigators (PIs) to conduct technical integration between work packages where applicable. Track programme milestones, deliverables, budget, and reporting to the grantor and institution leadership. Supervise other Programme Office staff and coordinate administrative support functions. Stakeholder and governance management Lead engagement with government agencies and other stakeholders to develop governance frameworks for robot operations in PDD. Coordinate development of policies and agreements related to robot certification, data sharing, safety compliance, and cybersecurity standards. Support programme steering committees by preparing briefings, reports, and strategic updates. Ecosystem development Identify strategic collaborations with new industry and public sector partners to grow the SmartPrecinct@PDD ecosystem. Support programme expansion initiatives and new funding opportunities. Requirements Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering, robotics, computer science, AI, cybersecurity, or a related field. Ideally 10+ years of relevant experience in programme management, technology development, or public-sector innovation initiatives, with strong technical background in related fields. Experience managing large multi-stakeholder projects involving government agencies, industry partners, and research institutions. Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Proven ability to manage complex programmes involving multiple technical teams and deliverables. Excellent communication and leadership skills. *Note: The incumbent will be appointed as REsearch Engineer/Research Fellow if successful.

Our research staff have the opportunity to develop industry-relevant applied research capabilities while contributing to impactful research projects at SIT. We are seeking a Research Engineer with expertise and experience in inspection technologies to join an applied research project related to infrastructure maintenance. The successful candidate will work closely with the research team to investigate, test, and implement novel inspection solutions for an embodied AI-enabled robotic system for urban infrastructure maintenance. Key Responsibilities Learn and review inspection technologies for detecting defects at concrete pavers through literature studies Design and prototype a mobile inspection cart for pavers used at residential estates Evaluate and integrate test technologies from machine vision, thermography, and ground penetrating radar onto the inspection cart Conduct lab and field trials to progressively improve the functionality and practicality of the inspection cart Collect and analyse test data from the applied inspection technologies to measure their effectiveness in paver defect detection Prepare and contribute to technical documentation of the research project through reports and publications Supervise and mentor undergraduate students involved in the project Carry out risk assessment and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health regulations Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Technical skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Prototyping are essential Preferred Skillsets (Advantageous) Theoretical knowledge and interest in inspection technologies for defect detection Experience applying machine vision, thermography and/or ground penetrating radar

As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to develop a demonstration scale low pressure membrane system in collaboration with Atera Water Pte Ltd. Key Responsibilities Applicants are invited for a Research Engineer in low pressure membrane system (LPMS). Reporting to the Project Principal Investigator (PI), you will assist in all administration matters including overseeing, planning, forecasting, budgeting as well as ensuring the smooth running of the daily operations for the project Assists in co-supervision of final year projects (FYP) or capstone projects students or student helpers under the Project PI. Assist in designing, planning and setting up of a demonstration scale LPMS plant at a site allocated by PUB. Assist in designing, planning and setting up of a lab-scale LPMS plant at a SIT Punggol campus Assist in carrying out of experiment, data logging and analysis of data collected. Work with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) results generated by an expert to correlate with experimental data Assists the PI in drafting of reports, conference proceedings and journal articles based on the outcome of the projects. Prepares and shares fortnightly report of results from the computations with the program director and PI. Support the procurement and maintenance of the software/hardware under the charge of the PI Any other adhoc duties assigned. Requirements The appointee should have a strong foundation in fluid dynamics and understanding of fluid (air and water) flow is important. Appointee should also have experience with design of experiments, carrying out experiments and results analysis. Prior experience working with membrane systems will be a plus. A recognised degree from a good University B.Eng or M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, chemical or environmental engineering Strong foundation in Fluid Dyanmics Able to work independently with strong data analytical skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
