Description The Center for Interacting Urban Networks, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to support a set of projects on air pollution and environmental policy in the UAE and globally. These projects include measuring perceptions of and assessing knowledge about air quality, identifying and pursuing strategies to engage with policy makers on environmental issues, and extending efforts in data collection on and public engagement with air quality readings. The successful applicant will contribute to interdisciplinary research centered on these topics. The qualified candidate will have a Masters in the social sciences and experience working on quantitative analysis. This position requires excellent computational and data management skills. Description The Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for tenured/tenure-track open-rank faculty positions within its Computer Science Program. The search will prioritize candidates who specialize in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), including but not limited to areas such as deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, reinforcement learning, ethical/trustworthy AI, and interdisciplinary applications of AI/ML in various domains. We welcome applicants working on fundamental advances in AI/ML as well as those applying AI/ML methods to advance other areas of computer science and related disciplines (e.g, software engineering, systems, security, human-computer interaction, robotics, databases, or related fields). The program seeks candidates who can contribute to our growing AI curriculum through foundational AI/ML courses as well as specialized courses exploring the interaction between AI/ML and other computing disciplines. Description he Laboratory of Applied Nonlinear Dynamics (L.A.N.D.) within the Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Research Scientist position, with a start date of January 2026. The successful candidate will have prior research experience, both computational and experimental, in the broad field of nonlinear mechanics. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in machine learning, wave propagation, metamaterials, and/or fluid–structure interactions. The minimum qualification for this appointment is a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, with at least 5 years’ experience along with extensive research and publication in well-known journals and conference papers. Strong English communication skills, the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and demonstrated scientific creativity are essential.
