The LNM Institute of Information Technology, popularly referred to as LNMIT, is a non-profit deemed to be university located in the Indian city of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The university was initially established in 2003 as a public-private partnership between the LNM foundation and the government of Rajasthan. The university operates as an independent autonomous institution and offers undergraduate and graduate courses in various disciplines like communication and computer engineering, electronics and communication engineering, computer science engineering, mechanical and mechatronics engineering. The Institute is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council India and has a reputation for accumulating multi-disciplinary academic research, social development and entrepreneurship. The university has several specialised research centres such as the Centre for Next Generation Communication Networks, LNMIIT Centre for Technology Business Incubation and Entrepreneurial Leadership, Centre for Big Data and Machine Learning and others for facilitating the industry-related projects. LNMIT has a large campus infrastructure, which includes partial on-campus housing, hostels, shopping complexes, studios, lecture halls and labs. The institute also organises several co-curricular and extra-curricular activities every year for students. The Vivacity annual cultural management fest and the Counselling Cell are among the most popular student activities. In addition to these, special sports meets, events and activities are organised every year. Robotics, the anti-ragging committee, and astronomy are some of the other popular student activities at the LNM Institute of Technology.

Your personal sphere of influence: The Ries lab is developing super-resolution microscopy methods for structural cell biology and is looking for a PhD student to join the team. The Max Perutz Labs is a joint research institute of the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna. It was founded in 2005 to deepen the collaboration between the two universities in the field of molecular biosciences. Approximately 450 scientists from over 40 nations work in 40 research groups at the institute, investigating fundamental questions in molecular and cell biology. State-of-the-art research infrastructure supports their work in basic biomedical research. The employment duration is 3 years. lnitially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extension. With appropriate work progress, an extension to a total maximum of 4 years is possible. Your future tasks: You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means: Your main task is to complete and to submit your dissertation. You meet and consult with your supervisor(s) on a regular basis in order to priorities your tasks and get the necessary support to complete your dissertation successfully in time. You participate in your department's and the Doctoral School activities and workshops. You participate in conferences and publish research results in peer-reviewed journals. You actively seek support (workshops, training, coaching etc.) if necessary. This is part of your personality: Background in Biology: Extensive experience with superresolution microscopy Expertise in fluorophores and fluorescent proteins. General Expectations: Above-average MA or equivalent in a field of study relevant for the respective position. High level of motivation and commitment to succesfully complete your doctoral studies within the anticipated time frame. Job Description SCHOOL OF BUSINESS DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT, MARKETING AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS Senior Lecturer / Lecturer I / Lecturer II (Information Systems) (25260706) The Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems invites dynamic and experienced professionals to apply for a position at the rank of Senior Lecturer or Lecturer I/II within our Information Systems and Business Intelligence team. We are seeking individuals with strong technical expertise and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will contribute to our growing programmes through innovative instruction, curriculum development, and enhancing students’ technical capabilities. Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality teaching and student engagement at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels; Develop and teach courses in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Large Language Models, E-Business, Data Management, Management Information Systems, and Python programming; and Contribute to curriculum development and innovation in the field of the application of AI in business. As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. The researcher will be part of the team of the MCCS NATURE Project (https://www.nparks.gov.sg/Cuge/Programmes-Schemes/Research%20Programmes/MCCS%20Programme). The primary role involves developing and validating CFD models to study wave attenuation by mangroves, seagrass, and coral. Responsibilities include calibrating simulations with experimental data, analyzing shear coefficients and drag forces, and contributing to interdisciplinary research on coastal protection, with an emphasis on delivering accurate and impactful modeling insights. Key Responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Undertake these responsibilities in the project: 1. Wave Stochastic Analysis and Hydrodynamics Conduct advanced stochastic analysis of wave environments to evaluate the performance of floating structures.  Analyze hydrodynamic behavior of floating breakwaters under varied sea conditions. 2. CFD and Finite Element Modeling Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations to optimize the design and performance of floating breakwaters. Develop finite element models for stability assessment, structural integrity, and dynamic response of floating systems. 3. Connector Design Design and analyze mechanical connectors for the integration of multi-purpose floating breakwater systems, ensuring structural stability and durability. 4. Design and Integration Develop innovative designs for floating breakwaters that integrate wave energy converters (WECs), tidal energy systems, and solar energy platforms. Optimize design configurations to maximize energy harnessing and wave attenuation. 5. Experimental Testing Plan and conduct physical model tests in wave flumes or basins to validate computational models. Analyze experimental data to improve and validate the floating breakwater design. 6. Research Documentation and Dissemination: Prepare technical reports, research papers, and presentations to disseminate findings to academic and industry stakeholders. Contribute to project proposals and progress updates for funding agencies. Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. 7. Project Management Support: Ensure timely execution of project milestones Coordinate with external collaborators and manage data-sharing protocols. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Job Requirements PhD/Master’s in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. Proficiency in hydrodynamic modeling tools (e.g., ANSYS AQWA, OrcaFlex) and finite element analysis software (e.g., Abaqus, ANSYS). Experience with stability and mooring system design. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data collection instruments and techniques. Excellent communication and report-writing abilities. Good understanding of industry standard will be an advantage Ability to work independently and in teams in both lab and field environments. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and teamwork abilities Key Competencies Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with people within and external to the university.
