Lincoln University College, Petaling Jaya, was established in 2002 as Lincoln College and upgraded to university status in 2011. The university is one of the private institutions of higher education approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysian Qualifying Agency (MQA- National Accreditation Board). It is situated in the cosmopolitan town of Petaling Jaya near Kelana Jaya LRT Station, which is 10 kilometres west of the capital city, Kuala Lumpur. There is a bus that runs directly from the campus into Kuala Lumpur city where students can go shopping, eat in restaurants and take in the sights of the city. The founders and administrators are committed to helping the students achieve their potential in education, research and employment. They bring together almost 50 years of higher education, post-secondary education and language teaching experience. Their backgrounds include teaching, research and professional training. There are 11 faculties including medicine and health sciences; dentistry; pharmacy; drama studies; nursing; business and accounting; hospitality; computer science and multimedia; engineering; science and social science, arts and humanities. There is also an English Language Centre, Centre for General Studies and Centre for Foundation Studies. The university has a number of collaborations with universities across the world including Huddersfield University, California State University, Haaga-Helia University, IIPD Maldives, RMIT University and Texas Wesleyan University among others. There is a high percentage of international students at the university. There are hostels on site for students to stay in while studying. The hostels have a number of facilities including a swimming pool, gym, WiFi and kitchen.

Course Development: Lead the development of three-credit elective courses that integrate emotional intelligence, embodied learning, and somatic practices, and promote their inclusion into related disciplines such as Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, and Sports and Health. Research Responsibilities: Conduct interdisciplinary academic research on emotional intelligence and somatic practices with fields like Psychology, Neuroscience, Sports Science, Active Health, and AI, and assist the Center in building an academic network and organizing seminars or workshops. Student Mentorship and Whole Person Education: Provide academic guidance and project supervision for students' somatic practice research, promote well-being and learning through physical practices and extracurricular community activities, participate in interdisciplinary course collaborations to embed emotional intelligence into the whole person education framework, and deliver public lectures or training sessions for faculty and students. Job Requirement: Possess a doctoral degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Health Sciences, Sports Science, Somatic/Embodied Integration Studies, or a related field. Postdoctoral or university teaching experience is preferred. Fluent English teaching ability (language certification or overseas degree experience required). Expertise in Somatic/Embodied Practices Have systematically studied and continuously practiced at least one verifiable somatic/embodied practice method. Professional certificated is preferred. Be able to organically integrate somatic/embodied practices with emotional intelligence course content, rather than merely as background knowledge. Teaching Competence Evidence of effective teaching, such as student evaluations of teaching, teaching observation reports, or teaching awards. Research Competence Have a clear research direction in areas such as emotion regulation, mindfulness-based interventions, somatic/embodied practices, embodied cognition, affective neuroscience, or related fields. Possess the ability to independently apply for research funding. Be able to supervise students in conducting small-scale research projects and support student outcomes presentation or publication. The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is seeking a highly qualified full-time lecturer in Building Construction and Component-Oriented CAD. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in this field or a closely related field and have a strong background in research. Relevant international experience is of advantage. The successful candidate will become part of an international network of universities and research institutes. Teaching Responsibilities In the role of a lecturer, the successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the Civil Engineering and Construction Management (BCE) and related fields. The expected workload for the in-class lecture conduction is 08 academic hours per week, totaling 240 academic hours per year (1 academic hour equals to 45 minutes). Teaching should reflect current research methods and results, and comprises lectures on the following modules: Basics in Building Construction and Building Physics Building Construction Component-oriented CAD Computer-aided design Construction health and safety Project study 1 and Project Study 2 Technical drawing Engineering English Additional experiences in the fields of Building Physics are an asset. The named courses are subject to change upon realistic needs of the programs and joint agreement between the lecturer, relevant Academic Coordinators, and Dean/Vice Dean in charge of teaching. Courses may requires conducting relevant laboratory activities and/or advising student projects. The holder of this job is also responsible for supervising bachelor's and master's theses and mentoring Ph.D. students. Research Responsibilities As a faculty member of a research-oriented university, the successful candidate is expected to significantly contribute to the scientific profile of VGU through innovation. This includes and is not limited to comprehensive activities in basic research as well as applied research in the fields of construction management policy, environment assessment, and risk management. The ability to apply and generate externally funded research projects is highly desirable. A collaboration in research/services between the successful candidate and other programs and industry is envisaged. This also includes the management of the state-of-the-art geotechnical engineering laboratory at VGU. Administrative responsibilities The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the development of the Civil Engineering and Construction Management Program (BCE) by participating in administrative, marketing and other public activities of the program in consultation with the Academic Coordinator of the study program and the German partner university, namely Biberach University of Applied Sciences (HBC). She or he is also expected to contribute actively to the academic self-administration of the Faculty of Engineering and university by being willing to stand for election to the Faculty Council, Academic Senate and/or other bodies. Qualification Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or Construction Planning and/or a closely related field, preferably from a well-known international university. Schemes of Service: Research Division: Engineering Employment Type: Fixed Term As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. Key Responsibilities Lead and support the execution of the research project in collaboration with the Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI, and research team, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones, technical outputs, and reporting requirements. Design and conduct experimental programmes for ultra-low carbon concrete systems, including LC3- and steel slag-based materials, as well as steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC), covering materials development, mix design optimisation, and performance evaluation. Perform advanced materials characterisation and microstructural analysis, including but not limited to: i. X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) ii. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) iii. Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM-EDX) iv. Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) v. Isothermal calorimetry vi. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) Analyse hydration mechanisms, strength development, fibre–matrix interaction, and phase evolution, and correlate microstructural characteristics with macroscopic performance. Conduct comprehensive mechanical testing of concrete, including strength, stiffness, toughness, crack control behaviour, and post-cracking performance (particularly for SFRC), as well as structural performance assessments. Evaluate durability performance and long-term behaviour, including resistance to chloride ingress, carbonation, permeability, fibre corrosion (where applicable), and other degradation mechanisms relevant to structural applications. Support pilot-scale production, test-bedding, and field implementation to validate material performance under real-world conditions. Prepare technical reports, publications, and presentations to disseminate research findings to academic, industry, and regulatory stakeholders. Carry out risk assessments and ensure full compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and laboratory safety protocols. Manage procurement processes, including specification development, vendor coordination, and equipment acquisition. Ensure proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, working both independently and collaboratively within the research team.luding scaling up mix designs, addressing variability in industrial materials, and aligning with relevant standards and specifications. Managing uncertainties associated with emerging low-carbon materials, including variability in by-product sources (e.g., steel slag), performance consistency, and acceptance by industry stakeholders. Job Requirements Master’s degree in Materials Science (specialising in cement and concrete), Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; a PhD will be an advantage. Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in cementitious materials and concrete characterisation, particularly in limestone calcined clay cement (LC³), carbonated steel slag-based systems, and steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC). Strong understanding of cement chemistry, hydration mechanisms, fibre–matrix interaction, and microstructural development of advanced cementitious composites. Practical experience with materials characterisation techniques such as XRF, XRD, SEM-EDX, TGA, calorimetry, and FTIR will be advantageous. Experience in mechanical and durability testing of concrete, including strength, toughness, crack control behaviour (especially for SFRC), permeability, and long-term performance assessment. Familiarity with laboratory practices, equipment operation, and safety protocols in materials testing environments. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research team. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills, with the ability to translate research findings into practical engineering and industry applications. You will join our growing team of Clinical Exercise Physiologists and will play a leading role in the development, implementation and evaluation of an LJMU-based physical activity and exercise clinic for individuals living with long-term health conditions, including liver cancer and post-liver transplantation.
