Position: Researcher/Associate Researcher/Assistant Researcher/Postdoctoral Researcher Description The Macau Institute of Space Technology and Application (M.I.S.T.A.) was established on September 1, 2023. It is a new platform in the field of Macau aerospace science and technology established by the Macau University of Science and Technology Foundation. The institute will focus on the scientific research and application of Macao satellites as well as scientific research and application work in the field of aerospace science and technology. The institute will closely focus on the development principle of "facing the world's technological frontiers, facing the main economic battlefield, and facing major national needs" and integrate Macau's aerospace science and technology capabilities into the overall situation of national aerospace science and technology innovation and development. Position Overview Khalifa University (KU) is in search of a highly motivated Post-doctoral researcher to lead research on nanoparticle (NP) carriers. These carriers aim to precisely deliver anti-cancer drugs to tumor sites, mitigating the indiscriminate impact of conventional chemotherapy on both cancerous and normal cells. The candidate will employ a multi-scale modeling approach to accurately predict the transport of nanoparticles in human blood, as well as simulate their attachment to cancer cells and subsequent drug release. Expertise in Molecular Dynamics, Dissipative Particle Dynamics, Lattice Boltzmann with immersed boundary method, or discrete element method is required, and familiarity with Lagrangian-Eulerian methods, including PIC, is considered and advantage. Preferably, candidates should have prior experience with the LAMMPS open-source package or similar simulation tools, and proficiency in FORTRAN and C languages to modify existing codes at Khalifa University. Position Requirements Simulation experience Ability to develop/modify codes in MATLAB, FORTRAN and C. Must have at least a previous experience and publications in simulation.
