Life University is a private institution located on a 110 acre wooded campus in the city of Marietta, northwestern Georgia. Founded in 1974, Life is oriented around courses taught in the health and wellness fields.
There are twelve undergraduate and four graduate degrees available. The Life U Sport Science Institute is a combination of leading edge technology and the university’s dedication to vitalistic philosophy in the health fields. Bachelor’s in exercise science, health coaching, and coaching psychology will all make us of the university's extensive facilities.
A cornerstone of Life University is the chiropractic college, which is the largest in the world. This complementary medicine course entails detailing issues with the nervous system, in particular targeting what is known as subluxation.
Sports teams are known as the Running Eagles, which compete in the Mid-South Conference. Rugby is a popular and highly successful sport at Life, competing with both men’s and women’s teams.
While the university itself is located in a midsize city within an area of stunning natural beauty, it is also just 20 miles from Atlanta, a major urban metropolis of the American south that has both an pronounced cultural and historical perspective and extensive international travel links.

The position is assigned to the Research Unit “Developmental psychology” (Chair Prof. Dr. Stefanie Höhl). The group focuses primarily on aspects of social-cognitive development in early childhood and conducts research on topics such as the development of joint attention and social learning. Our methodological focus is on experimental and neuroscience research (e.g., eye tracking, EEG, fNIRS). The candidate should have a strong interest in developmental cognitive neuroscience and its experimental methods, in particular EEG and or fNIRS and eye-tracking. The ideal candidate will have experience in the analysis of neurophysiological data from different age groups, in particular using frequency and/or time-frequency analyses. The employment duration is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a non-extension declaration. The role Our Senior Impact Officers play a proactive role in facilitating and coordinating impact activity, being the first point of contact and galvanising the network of impact support across the university and beyond. Description The Mathematics Program in the Science Division, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a post-doctoral associate to work on one or more of the following topics: Mathematical Physics, Spectral Theory, Quantum Chaos, Large Graphs and Quantum Walks. Related areas such as Quantum Information can also be considered. This position is offered through the research funds of Mostafa Sabri. The Mathematics Program at NYUAD is quickly expanding, the candidate will find many international experts and postdocs with whom to interact. Weekly seminars are in place across the various research areas represented at NYUAD. The successful applicant will also receive a mobility credit to participate in conferences. Applicants must have a PhD in Mathematics, with a strong background in one of the advertised topics, as well as an excellent academic record. Candidates with PhDs in Physics or Computer Science may also be considered if they willing to collaborate with mathematicians on these topics. For consideration, applicants need to submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae with a full publication list, a research statement, a transcript, and at least two letters of reference, all in PDF format. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed twice. In the first interview, the candidate will give a talk summarizing earlier research.
