About the position La Trobe University is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Associate Director, Commercial Leasing to lead the planning, development and implementation of contemporary leasing practice across the University's property portfolio. Reporting to the Executive Director, Business Services, this senior role provides strategic, commercial and operational oversight of the University's leasing arrangements across all campuses, in both landlord and tenant contexts. About CBS: The Chemical & Biochemical Sciences Green Process Engineering Department (CBS) is an entity of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P). The main objective of CBS is to set up a distinctive research-teaching program of international level, in order to meet the research and teaching challenges of UM6P, in particular on green and environmental chemistry applied to all aspects of chemical sciences: organic and inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical biology, biochemical and thermal reactions. Research at CBS is organized around several major areas, which aim to answer challenging industrial questions, from complex chemical and biochemical reactions to scale-up and validation of process engineering. CBS projects aim at an in-depth understanding of the molecular mechanisms of all transformations in order to propose new original alternatives in terms of efficiency, environmental friendliness and sustainability. Job Description The successful candidate will contribute to an interdisciplinary research program focused on the development of a bio-activated organo-mineral fertilizer integrating elite nitrogen-fixing bacteria and phosphate-solubilizing microorganisms with mineral fertilizers for sustainable crop nutrition. The research aims to develop a ready-to-use granulated fertilizer capable of improving nutrient use efficiency, biological nitrogen fixation, phosphorus availability, wheat productivity, and soil health under Morocco's semi-arid agricultural conditions. The project will involve microbial strain production and characterization, fertilizer formulation through coating and co-granulation approaches, physicochemical and microbiological quality assessment, investigation of plant-microbe interactions, and greenhouse and field evaluation of fertilizer performance. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary research environment combining microbiology, fertilizer science, chemistry, biotechnology, soil science, agronomy, and plant nutrition to develop innovative and sustainable fertilizer technologies. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize bio-activated organo-mineral fertilizer formulations integrating beneficial microorganisms with mineral fertilizers. Conduct laboratory, greenhouse, and field experiments to evaluate fertilizer performance, nutrient use efficiency, and crop response. Perform microbiological, physicochemical, and agronomic characterization of microbial strains and fertilizer formulations. Analyze experimental data, prepare technical reports, and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to achieve project objectives. Contribute to the supervision of graduate students and support laboratory research activities. Present research outcomes at scientific meetings, workshops, and conferences. Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and maintain accurate documentation of research activities.
