Job Description SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION EARLY CHILDHOOD AND ELEMENTARY EDUCATION DIVISION The Early Childhood and Elementary Education Division (ECEED), an academic arm of the School of Continuing Education, is the premier provider of early childhood and primary school teacher education in Hong Kong. It currently offers a range of academic programmes on a full-time or part-time basis for students pursuing courses with qualifications awarded from certificate to postgraduate levels. Applications are now invited for the following positions: Lecturer Il / Assistant Lecturer (25260622) The appointees are expected to perform the following duties: a) teach in their fields of studies; b) programme and curriculum development; c) co-ordinate and manage part-time teaching staff to work as a team; d) execute quality assurance requirements; e) supervise students on research projects and fieldwork practice; and f) provide guidance and counselling services to students. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding. Description The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi is looking to recruit a post-doctoral associate, starting Fall 2026 to work under the supervision of Prof. Pierre Youssef on subjects including (in no particular order): Random Matrix Theory Free Probability Functional and concentration inequalities Mixing times of Markov chains While excellent candidates with other research interest may be considered, a priority will be given to those able to relate to one or several of the above topics. Description The Water Research Center, New York University Abu Dhabi, is seeking to hire an Associate Research Scientist to develop calix[n]arene-based covalent organic frameworks for water purification. The successful candidate will develop new calix[n]arene-based covalent organic frameworks for water purification applications. To explore this area of macrocycle-based porous frameworks for water contaminant removal, the candidate will be involved in the directed synthesis of organic macrocycle containing linkers and porous frameworks and then investigate the supramolecular interactions with various organic pollutants. This would require knowledge in the design and synthesis of porous frameworks, particularly in techniques such as Schlenk line, glove box, powder X-ray diffraction, electron diffraction, electron microscopy, and porosity analysis. The candidate is expected to have a thorough understanding of the analytical techniques used to characterize the materials. Experience in the application of such materials to water treatment is preferred. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD scientists, graduate students, and undergraduate students. Applicants must have a PhD in chemistry or materials science. Excellent experimental and synthetic skills relevant to the project (particularly, synthesis of covalent organic frameworks) are required.
