The Hospitality Business Programme (BHB): The Bachelor of Hospitality Business with Honours is a direct honours degree programme. It is the first and only hospitality business degree programme offered by an autonomous university in Singapore. The programme aims to nurture hospitality leaders who are passionate about making positive and tangible contributions to the industry. Qualifications: Applicants must be committed to excellence in discovery, teaching, and service to the hospitality and tourism industries. An applicant is required to have a Doctoral Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management or a related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Big Data, Entrepreneurship, Asset Management, AI), preferably with extensive management experience in the hospitality and tourism business, excellent teaching experience, and a strong publication record (e.g., industry or community reports), or has the potential to excel in these three areas. Principal Duties: The Hospitality Business Programme (BHB) is seeking a Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in one or two of the following areas: Hospitality Tech / Digitalization / AI Application in Hospitality and Tourism / AI Marketing Data Analytics / Big Data Hospitality Investment and Development / Asset Management (Hospitality) Entrepreneurship Additionally, the successful candidate will conduct funded industry-relevant research, teach courses in their areas of expertise, and supervise capstone students in relevant topics. They are also granted paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or spend time attached to industry. Our group covers different topics in theoretical chemistry, from the use of advanced electronic structure methods to the development of dynamical approaches to study photochemical reactions, also including machine learning. The group is part of the Cluster of Excellence “MECS- Materials for Energy Conversion and Storage” and the Sonderforschungsbereich TRR234 “CataLight- Light-driven Molecular Catalysts in Hierarchically Structured Materials”, benefiting from many experimental and theoretical collaborations. Your personal sphere of play: You will carry out excited-state electronic structure calculations and simulations of photodynamics of complex organic or inorganic molecules in condensed phase. You will apply state-of-the-art theoretical methods and will have the possibility to develop new computational dynamical strategies. The outcome shall contribute to the understanding of mechanisms of photocatalytic processes in solution or other complex environments. The employment duration is 3 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extension. With appropriate work progress, an extension to a total maximum of 4 years is possible. Your future tasks: You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means: You are involved in research related to excited-state electronic structure calculations and simulations of photodynamics of complex organic or inorganic molecules in condensed phase. You will carry out independent computational work, including data analysis and preparation of results for publication. You are expected to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12 months.  You will work on your dissertation and towards its completion. You engage in teaching (independently and/or in a team) within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. You may occasionally be involved in the organization of meetings, conferences and symposiums. You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration. The School of Ocean and Earth Science at the University of Southampton is seeking to recruit a Research Fellow in Palaeoceanography and Earth System Model Development. The successful applicant will work on the development and application of the cGENIE Earth system model on multiple sub-projects of the ERC grant ‘Determining the drivers of extinction across space and time’, under the supervision of institutional lead Dr. Richard Stockey and in collaboration with team members at the University of Oxford (led by Prof. Erin Saupe). The post holder will specifically work to generate a series of reconstructive models of 3D ocean biogeochemistry through 1) the last ~800,000 years and 2) the Phanerozoic (last ~540 million years). A key focus of this role is to conduct Earth system model development to improve representation of ocean biogeochemistry in space and time for the intervals focused on in this research project. This is a relatively short-term, specialist Earth system modelling position (15-month duration). The post holder is therefore expected to have prior experience in intermediate complexity Earth system modelling and experience integrating key components of Earth system evolution on these timescales, in particular linking model output to geochemical data and working with astronomical forcings. The successful candidate will either hold, or be nearing completion of, a relevant PhD/DPhil and will have appropriate research experience alongside strong subject-specific expertise. They should be capable of working independently within established research programmes, managing their own research activities and contributing to academic publications. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to clearly present research ideas and findings, as well as representing the research group effectively in meetings and collaborative discussions.
