Kyoto University of Advanced Science was formerly known as Kyoto Gakuen University. It is a private university in, Kyoto, Japan. Originally founded as a trade school in 1925, the university celebrated its 50 year anniversary in 2019 with a name change to its current name. 
It has two campuses located in Uzumasa, Kyoto City, and Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture.   
The university is organised into five faculties and five graduate schools. The undergraduate faculties include the faculty of economics and business administration, the faculty of humanities, the faculty of bioenvironmental science, the faculty of health and medical sciences, and the faculty of engineering. 
The graduate schools include the graduate school of economics, the graduate school of business administration, the graduate school of human culture, the graduate school of bioenvironmental science, and the graduate school of engineering.   
The International Office provides support for international students helping with things like visa applications, scholarships, and accommodation. 
In 2020, the university's faculty of engineering began to offer programmes taught entirely in English.

The Higher Education Outreach Network (HEON) is looking to appoint a Graduate Outreach Assistant. This is a fixed-term contract starting in September 2026 and running until July 2027.

About the role

The HEON Graduate Outreach Assistant will contribute to the design and delivery of HEON’s wide-ranging outreach programmes. The post will support the collection, organisation and tracking of data to support the monitoring and evaluation of the programme. The post will also support with social media and certain administrative tasks.

About you

We are looking for a well organised, enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for social mobility and inspiring young people.

You should work well in a team and will be familiar with working autonomously and as part of a wider team; interacting flexibly with colleagues both internally and externally. Training will be in place to support you and help you develop in the role.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, Public Health, Education, Social Work, or a related discipline. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese), alongside strong interpersonal and organisational skills. They should be responsible, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team. Knowledge of sexual health and sexuality education or educational psychology, as well as prior experience in conducting social welfare research, working with non-governmental organisations (NGOs), or working with primary/secondary schools, is highly preferred.

The appointee will work closely with the Principal Investigator and the research team on an evaluation study examining the impact of a territory-wide comprehensive sexuality education on students and parents in Hong Kong. Working as a project manager, the appointee will oversee the project and team members, reporting directly to the Principal Investigator.

Main responsibilities include data management and analysis, preparation of research and progress reports as well as high-quality manuscripts, presentation of research findings at local and international conferences, supervision of junior research staff, and liaison with a funding body, partner NGOs, and local schools in Hong Kong for smooth project implementation. We are seeking to appoint a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead and develop a specialist psychiatry service within the Student Health Service. The successful candidate will provide consultant-led psychiatric care to the student population, delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment as part of a multidisciplinary student healthcare team.

Reporting to the Head of Student Health, who in turn reports to the Director of Student Services, the Consultant Psychiatrist will play a key role in shaping and enhancing the University’s mental health service provision. In addition to providing clinical expertise, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to further develop and expand the range of services offered by the SHS, ensuring that they continue to meet the evolving needs of both the students and the University.

Salary:

	Design scenario modeling methods for ADS testing.
	Design algorithms for critical scenarios generation;
	Develop methods for failure analysis and root cause analysis of critical scenarios;
	Develop methods to mitigate failures and improve ADS safety;
	Investigate robust motion planning for ADSs that can tolerate module failures in ADSs.
	Write research papers.

Qualifications


	Minimum PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines with particular focus on Computer Science.
	Minimum 3 years of relevant research experience in AI security, Autonomous Driving System testing.
	High-quality publications in top-tier software engineering/security/AI journals or conferences.
	Proficiency in programming software/languages such as Python and Pytorch will be positively considered/ is required.
	Proven track record and professional experience in ADS testing, AI testing and software anlysis.
	Demonstrated experience and know-how on testing and repair AI systems, particular on ADS systems.
	Excellent working knowledge of machine learning, trustworthy AI and software testing.
	Technical skills in ADS testing, software testing and bug fixes.
	Ability to break down complex problems and design effective solutions.
	Innovating new approaches and thinking outside the box.
	Applicants with research publications in AI security, software engineering and cybersecurity area will be advantageous.
	Ability to work cooperatively as part of a small, agile academic research team is essential.
	Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with team members.
