ABOUT XJTLU In 2006 Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) was created by the University of Liverpool and Xi’an Jiaotong University – a top ten university in China. Candidates with an MFA must possess demonstrable experience in the industry, showcasing a portfolio of work that reflects their expertise. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in teaching, particularly those who have contributed to the development of curriculum and educational materials in their field. Proficiency in game design software and tools, as well as a strong understanding of programming languages commonly used in game development(e.g.,C++,C#,Unity, Unreal Engine). Job Description FACULTY OF SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS Instructor I / Instructor II (25260593) The appointee is expected to take up academic and administrative responsibilities in the Department. The incumbent should collaborate effectively with stakeholders within the department and external collaborators. The appointee should demonstrate a high degree of self-efficacy and be able to serve as a role model for less experienced course assistants. Responsibilities : Delivering and preparing materials for tutorial classes; Assisting course instructors in conducting in-class exercises, marking assessments and class administration; Assisting faculty members and the General Office in organising academic and/or student activities; Mentoring less experienced course assistants; and Other academic and administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department, or Programme Directors. Requirements: A master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines; Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); Good analytical and problem-solving abilities; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Self-motivation and willingness to learn; and Preferably proficiency in MATLAB/R/SAS. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Instructor II. The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Job Description FACULTY OF SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS The Department is strongly committed to producing top-class research in the areas of applied mathematics, scientific computing and statistics, while simultaneously emphasises the nurturing of students from a wide range of academic backgrounds.  It receives allocation from Science Faculty Niche Research Area to establish world-class research teams to develop the necessary experimental platforms, modelling and data analysis capabilities. Research Assistant Professor (25260475) Responsibilities: The Department is recruiting a scholar at the rank of Research Assistant Professor in computational mathematics, machine learning, scientific computing, statistics, and related areas. The appointee is expected to conduct high-impact research and engage in various scholarly activities, including securing research funding, student supervision and taking up teaching duties, if necessary. Requirements: A relevant PhD degree with a solid and outstanding track record in research; Ability to conduct research independently while effectively engaging in a team environment; A proven record of scientific productivity evidenced by peer-reviewed publications; A strong commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship; and Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
