Central University of Europe is located in one of the oldest towns in the world. The Georgian city is reputed to be the capital of ancient Colchis, where Greek mythology tells that Jason and the Argonauts travelled to find the golden fleece. The university was established in 1991, as the first private university in western Georgia. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and PhD programmes in the following faculties: medicine, social sciences, business and law.

It is also home to an economic research institute and a medical research institute, as well as the internationally peer-reviewed journal Economic Profile. It collaborates with 26 universities in 15 countries, accepting foreign students and staff on exchange programmes. The university also educates a considerable number of international students – in particular in medicine, where the MD programme is taught in English and is internationally recognised.

DEPARTMENT OF APPLIED MATHEMATICS Assistant Professor in Optimization and Operations Research / Statistics and Data Science/ Financial Mathematics / Engineering and Computational Mathematics / Mathematical Science / Actuarial Science (Ref. 260713005) The Department of Applied Mathematics (AMA) is one of the constituent departments of the Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences. Apart from making a significant contribution to most of other academic programmes of the University by providing service teaching, the Department also offers master programmes in Applied Mathematics for Science and Technology, Operational Research and Risk Analysis and Quantitative Finance and FinTech. Starting from 2025/26 academic year, the Department offers a new Bachelor Scheme in Applied Mathematics and Finance Analytics and Fast-track Integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programmes and will launch a new master programme, MSc in Mathematics for Artificial Intelligence Technology in 2026/27. Clinical Research Methodology and Education Specialist for the Centre of Excellence CREATIC | CZECRIN (with working hours 32 - 40 per week) The CREATIC Centre of Excellence of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno was established on 1 January 2024 and focuses on research and development of cell and gene therapy for selected rare diseases. We are currently looking for a colleague to join our center who will contribute to the design, preparation, development, and expert review of courses within a comprehensive educational program focused on clinical research methodology. The program is primarily intended for professionals in clinical research engaged in lifelong learning. Practical experience in clinical research is desirable, particularly for the ability to translate theoretical principles into concrete and understandable examples. Your responsibilities will include identifying the key courses within the program, co-developing their structure, and defining and preparing expert content in collaboration with other colleagues. We are seeking a communicative, systematic, and independent individual with an interest in education within a specialized professional field, who is motivated to actively contribute to the development of a high-quality educational program and to support its long-term advancement. Description The Mubadala Arabian Center for Climate and Environmental Sciences (Mubadala ACCESS) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate to join an exciting multidisciplinary research program investigating the environmental and ecological drivers of productive fishing grounds in the United Arab Emirates. Working in collaboration with Emirates Nature–WWF and government partners, the successful candidate will lead the spatial ecology, habitat mapping, and environmental data integration components of a major applied research initiative that will directly inform fisheries management, marine conservation, and habitat restoration across the UAE. The successful candidate will lead the spatial ecology and habitat mapping components of the project by integrating environmental monitoring data, fisheries information, habitat datasets, and field observations to identify the ecological drivers of productive fishing grounds. Responsibilities include developing habitat characterization workflows using combinations of bathymetric datasets, side-scan sonar, remotely sensed imagery, GIS, and other spatial datasets to produce habitat maps, ecological indicators, habitat suitability assessments, and spatial decision-support products. The Post-Doctoral Associate will collaborate closely with project staff to design field campaigns, develop sampling strategies, participate in marine field surveys, and ensure the effective integration of environmental, biological, and spatial datasets. The successful candidate will establish robust data management and quality assurance workflows while preparing scientific manuscripts, technical reports, maps, visualizations, and presentations for project partners and government stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include engaging with Emirates Nature–WWF, government agencies, and other stakeholders to communicate research findings and support the translation of science into management and policy outcomes. The successful candidate will also contribute to the broader research activities of Mubadala ACCESS through mentoring junior researchers and students, participating in proposal development, and contributing to peer-reviewed publications. Applicants must hold a PhD in Marine Science, Marine Ecology, Oceanography, Environmental Science, Geography, Spatial Ecology, or a closely related discipline. With no more than five years post receipt of PhD. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience conducting independent marine spatial analyses and developing habitat maps using marine datasets. Applicants should possess strong analytical skills and experience with spatial modelling and statistical software such as R, Python, or MATLAB. Experience using GIS, side-scan sonar, multibeam bathymetry, underwater imagery, remote sensing, and other marine habitat mapping technologies is highly desirable. Candidates should have experience integrating biological, environmental, and spatial datasets and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong publication record in marine ecology, habitat mapping, fisheries ecology, or environmental science. Experience conducting marine field surveys, including SCUBA certification, and familiarity with environmental monitoring equipment such as CTDs, multiparameter sondes, or environmental sensor networks are required.
