Department: Department of Applied Pharmacy – Faculty of Pharmacy Deadline: 10 Jul 2026 Start date: 1.9.2026 Job type: full-time Job field: Pharmacy | Science and research | Education and schooling The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Masaryk University is announcing a competitive selection process for the position of Head of the Department of Applied Pharmacy (academic position)  In the areas of research and education, the Department of Applied Pharmacy focuses on issues related to various aspects of the provision of pharmacy and clinical-pharmaceutical care, economics, legal regulations, and ethics of pharmaceutical professional activities, with an emphasis on ensuring the quality, efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness of pharmacotherapy and healthcare interventions, as well as on the historical development and current state of pharmacy and its social standing. It is one of six institutes of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Masaryk University (MU). The fundamental mission of the MU Faculty of Pharmacy is to provide university education, conduct research in the field of pharmacy and related disciplines, and fulfill the faculty’s social role as an academic institution.  The faculty works closely with domestic and international research institutions as well as pharmaceutical companies and is a proud recipient of the HR Excellence in Research Award, a European certificate of quality for HR processes. Demonstrated experience in design, delivery, planning and governace of an education program or affiliated projects.  Demonstrated expertise within innovation methodology and practice relevant to industry. Demonstrated capacity to make informed decisions within the context of an education program financial, strategic performance and growth. (Desirable) Qualifications A PHD tertiary qualification or equivalent demonstrated experience.
