Position Description Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Lecturer in French as a Foreign Language position with teaching responsibilities based at the Zayed Military University (ZMU) campus. Key Accountabilities Teaching Design and deliver undergraduate French courses, primarily within the Foundation Year. Develop engaging, gamified teaching materials, assessments and learning activities that foster critical thinking, analytical reasoning, language awareness, and students’ ability to engage in autonomous learning. Student Support and Academic Advising Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students. Support the development of students’ analytical skills. Academic and Administrative Service Participate in departmental and university service activities. Contribute to program development, curriculum review, and academic governance where appropriate. Minimum Qualifications and Experience Master’s Degree/PhD Degree preferred in French as a Foreign Language or any other relevant discipline from an accredited higher education institute. 5 years of experience in teaching French as a Foreign Language preferably within the higher education sector. Professional proficiency in English is mandatory. IELTS certification or equivalent qualification is an asset. Strong commitment to effective and student-centred teaching practices.  Readiness and capacity to supervise and mentor students. Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural academic environment. Knowledge of Arabic is considered an asset. Description The Perception and Active Cognition laboratory in the Center for Brain & Health, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to work on the mechanisms underlying mental processing speed. The successful applicant will drive a fascinating project that links processing speed measures to previously acquired functional and structural MRI data. The project will also involve simultaneously acquired and co-registered fMRI and EEG measurements. Measures of cognitive “Speed of Processing” are important for studies of healthy aging and many disorders, including multiple sclerosis, autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, and schizophrenia, as well as diabetes and obesity. This project investigates the neural correlates of Speed of Processing and its subcomponents, translating into a more complete understanding of the mechanisms involved and their role in brain health. This project combines MRI and EEG/MEG studies with behavioral, genetic, and clinical measures to yield a more complete picture of how processing speed is related to health outcomes.  The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students.  Applicants must have a PhD in psychology, cognitive neuroscience or a related field. Strong neuroimaging data processing skills relevant to the project are required. Applicant must have no more than five years post receipt of this degree are eligible for a postdoctoral appointment. Description We are inviting applications for a Post-doctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in Economics focusing on Macro, Labor and/or Development Economics. The appointment is for 2 years and will begin September 1, 2026, subject to final budget approval and UAE visa acquisition by the prospective post-doctoral candidate. The post-doctoral associate will spend half their time on independent research, and half their time on collaborative research with Professor Pauline Corblet and Professor Samreen Malik. The collaborative research will be on labor and education economics with a particular focus on structural models tied with labor market surveys to study the role of beliefs in the labor market in both developed and developing economies. We seek a candidate with expertise in both empirical and theoretical economics, with good coding skills. The role will involve designing surveys, working with existing datasets, and applying structural models relating to human capital development and labor markets. The position does not require teaching, but it may be possible to get teaching experience for compensation.
