Kocaeli Health and Technology University is part of the European Education Group, which has over 35 years of educational experience. The university is located in Kocaeli, a province in northwestern Turkey. Kocaeli is situated between the Black Sea, to the north, and the Sea of Marmara to the west. There are five faculties at the university: faculty of dentistry, faculty of pharmacy, faculty of engineering and natural sciences, faculty of health sciences, and the faculty of social sciences and humanities. Each faculty is divided into different departments, offering a range of undergraduate degree programmes. There is also the graduate education institute, which offers five programmes: information systems engineering programme, obstetrics and gynaecology nursing programmes, physiotherapy and rehabilitation programme, occupational health and safety programme and the orthodontics programmes. The European Vocational School has a variety of programmes on offer including the oral and dental health programme, the child development programme, and the computer technology programme. The Directorate of Health, Culture and Sports Centre is responsible for overseeing the university’s various extracurricular activities. There is a number of different clubs available for students to join, including debate club, music club, travel and activity club and sports clubs.

The Opportunity The MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development is seeking a Research Fellow in Language Learning to join a multidisciplinary research team based at the Westmead campus. This role is focused on advancing knowledge in language acquisition and learning through rigorous, ethically sound, and methodologically robust research. You will design and conduct original research studies using qualitative and quantitative approaches, develop and implement research protocols, and analyse complex datasets using appropriate statistical and analytical tools. Working closely with experienced researchers and academic staff, you will contribute to collaborative projects while also building your own independent research profile. We create, share and apply scientific knowledge to improve health by building new technology for cancer imaging and targeted radiation therapy. We engage with industry, hospitals, international collaborators and universities to forge relationships that help take our projects from lab bench to patient bedside. Image X is a part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate (level A Step 6) to work on a research project harnessing the power of artificial-intelligence (AI) to improve radiation therapy treatment for patients with cardiac arrhythmias. In this project you will build new targeting technologies based on AI and x-ray imaging that solve the challenges of complex cardiac motion during radiation therapy. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of advanced non-invasive cardiac mapping approaches, involving multi-signal acquisition, signal processing and inverse modelling. The role is based at the Image X Institute and will be led by Dr Chandrima Sengupta. You will benefit from a strong mentoring environment; lead and be part of high impact research. You will be based at South Eveleigh (formerly the Australian Technology Park) and spend time at our partner hospitals. Your key responsibilities will be: Advance the science and clinical practice of imaging, cardiac mapping and targeted radiation therapy Create, develop and experimentally and clinically implement mechanistic and AI based algorithms Support the acquisition and analysis of clinical data, and imaging, software and equipment infrastructure contribute to successful applications for competitive research grants and/ or funding to deliver research impact develop national and international research collaborations disseminate research findings. About you : An awarded or near completed Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cardiac Electrophysiology or Engineering) demonstrated experience or knowledge one or more of the following: software and mathematical algorithm development, especially in artificial intelligence working with X-ray equipment, linear accelerators, MRI scanners, PET, or other scientific/medical devices working with electrophysiology data working with a variety of experts in different fields (e.g., radiation oncologists, cardiologists, radiation therapists, physicists, engineers, clinicians etc). a publication track record that places emphasis on quality publications and/or experience with clinical trial protocol development. demonstrated scientific creativity and innovation/discovery outstanding interpersonal and communication skills in a team environment. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to research on a project supporting the move of aviation towards zero emissions, as part of a team within the Centre for Aeronautics, Propulsion and Power, and specifically the Rolls-Royce UTC in Aero Systems Design, Integration and Performance. This role will contribute to the development of various systems used in propulsion architectures. You will be working in test facility design, computational fluid dynamic modelling, and assessment of thermo-fluid systems for aviation, focusing on icing in aircraft fuel systems.
