Kobe International University was founded in 1968 and is a private, co-educational, multidisciplinary institution offering wide range of programs in undergraduate levels. The university is affiliated to the Anglican Church of. Japan. It is located in the ancient city of Kobe, a majestic city both historically as well as naturally. The university, which has inbound and outbound study partnerships with a host of institutions in more than 30 countries is especially renowned for its academic standards and a widely diverse international student body. Popularly known as the “Global Partners”, the university regularly facilitates exchange of students and faculties with its partner universities around the word like Niagara College Canada, California State University, Griffith College, Bond University, NLA University College. Kobe International University also has an Academic Research Society and Institutes for Economic, Cultural and Rehabilitation Studies to promote research activities inside the university. The university also organises several events each year like the Rice Cake Pounding, study tours, BBQ party and other various school festivals. The university has a well- managed dormitory system and has set up student assistant systems to help international students with their studies. From aqua hall to the career development centre, Kobe International University provides all sorts of amenities to facilitate the personal and professional development of its students. In addition to this, there is a student council, different cultural organisations and sports club inside the campus. The Centre for Microbiology and Environmental Systems Science (CeMESS) at the University of Vienna conducts basic research on the structure and function of microbiomes at an internationally leading level. We are looking for a technician (m, f, d) to support our laboratory team and offer a stimulating and family-friendly working environment. This position is for 20 hours per week and is initially a 12-month fixed-term contract. The contract may be converted to a permanent position if both parties agree. Your personal sphere of influence: The Division of Microbiology and Ecosystem Science (DoME, https://dome.univie.ac.at/) is seeking a lab technician (m, f, d) for a varied field of activity. The focus will be on the cultivation and molecular biological characterization of protists, bacteria, and viruses, as well as the support of scientific projects within the research group of Univ.-Prof. Matthias Horn (https://dome.univie.ac.at/horn). The research group investigates the biology, ecology, and evolution of microorganisms and viruses that infect protists. Your future tasks: The focus of your tasks lies in supporting ongoing research projects. This includes the cultivation and microscopic/molecular biological characterization of amoebae and other protists, their bacterial symbionts, as well as giant viruses. You will also participate in training students on molecular biological methods and equipment, as well as in data analysis. You are an active, communicative member of our research group and support our students and scientific staff. This is part of your profile: You hold a bachelor's degree or have completed training in the field of biology, biochemistry, or another natural science field (e.g., certified BTA/CTA technical training), or an equivalent qualification. An education at the university level is an advantage. Prior knowledge and practical experience in the fields of microbiology, molecular biology, or virology are an advantage but not mandatory. You are accustomed to motivated, independent work with an accurate and reliable approach. You possess a high capacity for teamwork and flexibility. You have basic IT skills (MS Office) and very good knowledge of German and English. Job Description SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION CONTINUING AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION DIVISION (CPED) The School of Continuing Education, one of the seven Faculties/Schools of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults. It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands. Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 550 part-time instructors. The School invites applications for the following positions in the Continuing and Professional Education Division: Lecturer I / Lecturer II / Assistant Lecturer (Accounting) (25260775) Applicants should possess relevant teaching and/or professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Financial Accounting Management Accounting Financial Management Economics Statistics The appointee is required to (i) perform teaching duties in related disciplines; (ii) provide academic guidance to students; (iii) develop, coordinate curriculum and manage programmes; (iv) supervise projects; (v) coordinate with the part-time teaching staff; (vi) assist administrative work for the responsible programmes/courses such as admission interview, handling students’ enquiries and organising student activities. Requirements: Applicants should possess a higher degree, preferably at the doctoral level, in the relevant discipline, along with teaching experience. A master's degree may also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate dedication and commitment to teaching and education; meanwhile, research competence is a factor to be considered. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Lecturer II or Assistant Lecturer. Reference salary range:  Lecturer I: HK$51,000 - HK$86,000 Lecturer II: HK$38,000 - HK$53,000 Assistant Lecturer: HK$30,000 - HK$39,000 The appointee will mainly work at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding. Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country View Position Description About Flinders University International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing The Flinders University International Centre for Point-of Care Testing (ICPOCT) is a global leader in point-of-care testing (POCT) and is recognised for expertise in POCT research and teaching, encompassing chronic, acute and infectious diseases. The Centre’s research activities have made a significant contribution to increasing access to health care and improving health outcomes, particularly in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and in rural and remote settings nationally and internationally. About the Role The Scientific Officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery of infectious disease point‑of‑care testing programs, with a strong focus on the National Australian Hepatitis C POCT Program. Working across a diverse range of health settings—including regional and remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, Drug and Alcohol services, and Justice Health services—the role delivers training, quality management support, and hands‑on testing services. This position contributes to program logistics, scientific troubleshooting, data management and research coordination, ensuring high‑quality, accessible testing that supports improved health outcomes nationally. Delivering point-of-care operator training, competency assessment and quality‑assured POCT support to health workers across multiple service settings. Coordinating and supporting onsite high intensity testing campaigns, including capillary blood collection and HCV point‑of‑care testing in correctional services. Providing scientific and technical support for POCT devices, systems and software both remotely and onsite. Supporting program data management, research activities and preparation of program-related publications and resources.
