About Kingswood University

Kingswood University is an evangelical Christian University associated with the Wesleyan Church, in Sussex, New Brunswick.

It was founded in October 1945 with the primary purpose of training ministers to serve the Reformed Baptist Church within the Atlantic region. In 1947, the school was relocated to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and renamed Bethany Bible College. In 2001, its name was changed to Kingswood University.

The university’s mission is to uphold the authority and inspiration of the Bible, provide a theological context that respects and serves the broader Church, and support the lifestyle expectations of the Wesleyan Church.

The university offers bacherlor's and master's courses pastoral theology, theology, Christian school education, and evangelism and compassion ministry.

Kingswood athletic teams are known as the Blazers. There is also a large selection of activities for students in the local area, such as canoeing or kayaking on the Kennebecasis River and Saint John River, cross-country skiing at Fundy National Park and walking the trails of Sussex.
