Full-time- 35 hours per week, fixed term for 36 months Based at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled academic to contribute to research and teaching in plant ecology, conservation, and biodiversity science within the School of Natural Sciences. Research may focus on areas such as biology and community ecology, biodiversity patterns, and ecosystem functioning. There will be opportunities to engage with external partners, including local councils, environmental agencies, and industry, to ensure research outcomes inform biodiversity management and conservation practice. The successful candidate will also contribute to high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs in biology, ecology and environmental science. The appointee will help foster an inclusive learning environment and support students in developing the scientific, analytical, and practical skills needed to address contemporary environmental challenges and contribute to biodiversity conservation. Description The Social Science Experimental Laboratory (SSEL) at New York University Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Post-doctoral Researcher position. We seek an ambitious, well-trained, and collaborative scholar with a PhD in economics or a related field. Candidates must have expertise in experimental methods and prior experience conducting social science experiments (lab, lab-in-the-field, online, and/or field). For this postdoctoral position, we seek a candidate to conduct analysis of the music corpus recovered, transcribed, and edited within the scope of this project. The candidate’s background can be either in in traditional music analysis (with a PhD in musicology, music analysis or music theory) and/or in computational musicology, digital humanities, computer science, artificial intelligence, or mathematics/statistics, with a PhD in one of these fields or a closely related field, and interested in applying this skillset to the analysis of music data.
