Classification: ANU Officer 5 (Administration) Salary package: $87,570 - $95,530 per annum plus 17% superannuation Terms: Full-time, Fixed term (until May 2026) The Position The Research Services Officer plays a key role in supporting and promoting research activities through the delivery of high-quality research administration services. This position provides accurate and timely advice to stakeholders on a wide range of research management matters, including grant applications, post-award processes, and research data administration. Working closely with the Research Services team, the officer assists in preparing research proposals, conducting compliance checks, managing budgets, and coordinating peer review processes. The role also involves maintaining research management systems and websites, supporting internal funding processes, and ensuring all documentation complies with relevant ANU and external policies and guidelines. Strong administrative, communication, and organisational skills are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. This position is integral to the smooth and efficient operation of the Research Services team and contributes to the University’s broader research strategy. The Person The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree or possess an equivalent combination of experience and training in administrative support within a complex organisation, with a genuine interest in research management. They will demonstrate strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. Clear and confident communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential, along with the ability to interpret and explain policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities independently or as part of a collaborative team. A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively will be key strengths. Ref.: 534426 Work type: Full-time Department: Department of Psychiatry, School of Clinical Medicine (21500) Categories: Professoriate Staff Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 534426), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract. We are seeking emerging scholars whose work advances the understanding and treatment of psychiatric disorders and improves mental and physical health outcomes. We welcome applicants from psychiatry and related fields, including psychiatric epidemiology, digital mental health, artificial intelligence and machine learning in mental health, big data analytics, and pharmacoepidemiology. Applicants who adopt multidisciplinary approaches to address key challenges in psychiatry and mental health are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants should possess: (i) a Ph.D. degree in psychiatry, psychology, public health, population health, data science, epidemiology, or a related discipline; (ii) a proven track record of impactful research, publications, external grants and leadership; and (iii) experience in teaching or mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of psychiatry. The appointee is expected to conduct independent and collaborative research of high academic merit, and secure competitive external research funding to maintain an active research programme. He/She will contribute to teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and supervise research postgraduate students. He/She will also undertake administrative and service duties as assigned. The Department offers a vibrant, collaborative environment with strong links to clinical services, community partners, and international research networks. The appointee will join an interdisciplinary faculty committed to supporting their success in building impactful research and teaching portfolios. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable. Description The Center for Sand Hazards and Opportunities in Resilience, Energy, and Sustainability (SHORES) and the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seek to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to work on a fascinating project focused on the geomechanical modeling for energy applications. The position will be directly supervised by Professor Mostafa Mobasher and will involve strong collaboration with the SHORES multidisciplinary research teams. The project will be focused on advanced modeling of coupled fracture/damage of geomechanical materials when subjected a range of multiphysical loading regimes including hydraulic, thermal, and chemical processes. The direct applications of these research will be aimed at enhanced modeling of hydraulic fracturing and carbon sequestration. The project activities will involve the development of the theory and implementation of the advanced mechanics and numerical models as well as constitutive model calibration and validation based on physical experimental data. Required Qualifications: A successful applicant must have a PhD in Engineering Mechanics, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Applicants are expected to demonstrate research experience in the fields of computational mechanics and computational geomechanics. Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs Job Requirements A Master’s degree in Radiography or related field. Possessing a PhD will be an added advantage. Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience in the acute / community / other clinical rehabilitation setting. Possess clinical experience and competence in Radiography. Having expertise in general radiography or other area of specialization (e.g., MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Angiography and Fluoroscopy) is preferred. Knowledge and experience in working with simulated healthcare institution and community environment and educational manikins will be advantageous. Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to SIT.  Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Possess industrial certifications in relevant areas will be an added advantage.
