Kherson State University dates back to 1917 making it one of the oldest universities in the Ukraine.
It is based in the southern regional capital on the River Dnipro close to the Black Sea and the Crimean border, more than 300 miles from the national capital, Kyiv.
There are faculties of biology, geography and ecology, pedagogy, business and law, Ukrainian and foreign philology, journalism and arts, medicine, psychology, history and sociology, computer science, physics and mathematics, and physical education and sport. The Faculty of Psychology at the University of Vienna comprises the Dean's Office, a Student Service Center (SSC), four departments, and the Outpatient Unit for Research, Teaching and Practice. 

We are looking to fill a Senior Scientist position as Head of the Outpatient Unit for Research Teaching and Practice (FLPA) at the Faculty of Psychology.

The FLPA combines research, teaching, and practical application in the areas of psychological diagnostics as well as clinical-psychological and health-psychological prevention and intervention across the lifespan. The successful candidate will share responsibility for expanding the FLPA's activities in psychotherapeutic fields (in accordance with current legal provisions and regulations).

Your future tasks:

As Head of the Outpatient Unit for Research, Teaching and Practice, you will take on the following tasks:


	Organizing and managing the day-to-day operations of the outpatient unit
	Participation in the expansion of psychotherapeutic services offered by the outpatient unit and in negotiations with health insurance companies
	Providing professional supervision and support for existing areas/services of the FLPA (e.g., testing and counseling center)
	Involvement in the planning of specialized training and continuing education programs
	If applicable, own psychotherapeutic services in the outpatient clinic in connection with practice-oriented teaching in the field of psychotherapy
	Optionally: conducting your own research


This is part of your personality:


	Degree in Psychology
	Doctorate/PhD
	Training as a psychotherapist in an evidence-based method (preferably in behavioral therapy)
	Experience in psychotherapeutic practice
	Experience in a management position, preferably in a psychotherapeutic practice, outpatient clinic/unit or a similar institution


The following qualifications are also desirable:


	Research experience
	Psychotherapeutic supervision

The aim of this tenure-track professorship is to advance research and teaching in the psychology of digitalization, with a particular focus on the transformation of work in the digital age. The successful candidate is expected to complement the faculty’s existing areas of expertise. The empirical research profile should be both substantively and methodologically aligned with the thematic area of “Occupational, Economic and Social Psychology.” Applications are welcome from all areas of the psychology of digitalization, especially those addressing the impact of automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality (VR) on working conditions, human behavior, and organizations. A broad methodological expertise, including quantitative approaches and innovative digital research methods, is highly desirable.
