We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow with strong expertise in computational and systems biology to lead the integrative modelling components of our NHMRC-funded project. This role is central to redefining the STAT3 signalling dogma by mapping its time-, stimulus-, and cell lineage-resolved interactome using cutting-edge technologies, including unbiased proteomic mapping (APEX2), iPSC-derived lineages, and functional genomics (CROP-Seq). The successful candidate will be responsible for the integrative analysis of large-scale multi-omics datasets and the development of predictive computational models to identify complex regulatory mechanisms of STAT3 signalling networks and pathway rewiring in varying biological contexts. Work that matters The Integrative Network Modelling Group within the Computational Systems Oncology program at SAiGENCI sits at the intersection of mathematics, computation, and cancer biology. We develop mechanistic, predictive models of cellular decision-making to address both fundamental and translational challenges in oncology, including drug resistance, pathway rewiring, and the discovery of new therapeutic vulnerabilities. Beyond cancer specifically, our research explores broader questions regarding cell fate decisions, the hidden dynamics of complex signalling networks, and their underlying regulatory mechanisms. Our approach is deliberately cancer-agnostic, focusing on principles that generalize across various tumour types while exploring the governing and design principles that dictate complex signalling behaviour. A defining feature of our group is the tight integration of dynamic network modelling with experimental and clinical insight, enabling us to move beyond mere description and toward robust, actionable prediction. The successful candidate will be appointed Chair Professor/Professor normally on regular terms of appointment (equivalent to tenured professorship), commensurate with his/her qualifications and experience, and will hold a concurrent headship appointment. This is an opportunity for a confident, creative and strategically minded marketing and communications professional to shape how Flinders shares the powerful story of giving. Working across donor acquisition, retention and engagement, you will develop compelling communications that connect supporters with the real-world impact of their generosity—from widening access to education and supporting student success, to advancing research that benefits communities. Through donor impact reports, cases for support, appeals, events communications and the University’s Impact of Giving publications, you will play a central role in strengthening philanthropic engagement and ensuring the impact of giving at Flinders is recognised with clarity, warmth and purpose. Your Key Position Responsibilities will include: Leading the marketing and communications of the annual program of fundraising appeals. Writing, editing, and proofreading high-quality content for donor- and prospective donor-facing materials, consistent with University brand guidelines and policies, including donor impact reports, direct mail, social media posts, speeches, articles, e-newsletters, and printed publications. Sourcing and coordinating the production of dynamic and engaging multimedia content—including photography, video, and digital assets—that supports donor recognition, storytelling, and the cultivation of prospective supporters across digital and print channels. Providing marketing and communications support for donor events and activities, the Planned Giving Program, staff workplace giving, and other forms of donor engagement and stewardship.  For a comprehensive list of Key Position Responsibilities, please view the Position Description  About You As you will be working collaboratively across the team to ensure the delivery of a consistent, coherent, and persuasive narrative across all philanthropic initiatives, you will possess excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, including the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Your exceptional writing and editing skills (including accuracy and attention to detail and experience in writing, editing and proofreading quality written content) are second to none, as is your extensive experience in and detailed knowledge of contemporary and best practice communications, multimedia and marketing campaigns, especially for donor and prospective donor audiences. Keys to your success include: Proven experience in developing and implementing innovative marketing and communications strategies tailored to internal and external audiences. Proficiency using client management systems and software to support communications objectives, for example, CRM Raiser’s Edge and Campaign Monitor for disseminating emails. The ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and successfully deliver them on time and at a high level of quality. A commitment to excellence and the principles of continuous improvement and ability to develop and deliver plans, measure outcomes and report on potential improvements for the future. It is expected that the successful candidate will have completed a degree in communications, media studies, marketing or a related discipline with subsequent relevant experience or have an equivalent combination of experience, education or training.
