About Kastamonu University
Kastamonu University was founded in 2006 in Kastamonu, Turkey, where the main campus is located.
As a developing young university, Kastamonu has 13 faculties, two institutes and three schools offering subject areas including education, arts and sciences, fine arts and design, and economics and administrative sciences among others.
In addition to these 13 faculties, there are three schools of physical education, civil aviation and foreign languages, as well as the institutes of social science and science.
Students at Kastamonu University can enjoy 57 student clubs during their free time, including design, theatre, folk dancing, photography, career and entrepreneurship, and young historians. There’s also annual elections for student council roles.
The Spring and Newroz festivals allow students the opportunity to present, compete in sporting activities, fashion shows and concerts to display their skills and talents. As the region is an important winter sports area, many students choose to take advantage of the nearby mountains and ski centres. Students can also join sporting teams such as basketball, tennis, athletics, volleyball and soccer.
The university has partnerships with many universities across the world in countries including the US, China, Argentina, the Philipines and many more. Through Erasmus and Farabi programs, students can develop new study skills, form networking links across the world and enjoy a new culture.
