This is an opportunity to apply for a Postdoctoral Researcher post in Face Lab, relating to a craniofacial project and the application of dental data to the creation of a 3D digital avatar. You will require a 3D animation, computer science and/or anatomical modelling background. A knowledge of dental data and 3D visualisation is desirable. Face Lab, led by Professor Caroline Wilkinson, is an award-winning collaborative unit that combines art and science to explore facial identity and representation. Comprising academics and PhD researchers, it pioneers innovative craniofacial projects in forensic identification and digital heritage, advancing interdisciplinary research and knowledge exchange in heritage, arts, culture, and forensic investigation. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Biology or related disciplines, preferably with experience in virology research. They should have solid knowledge of chemistry and biology, and an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Experience in bioinformatic data analysis including microbiome, virome and environmental metagenomics would be preferred. They should be logical, detail-oriented and self-motivated. Preference will be given to those with experience in virus transmission. The appointees will lead a research team to conduct data analysis for different types of data, including genomic/metagenomic sequencing data, ecological surveillance data, as well as development of analysis pipeline. We are seeking a dedicated and engaging Teaching Fellow in Psychology to join our vibrant Tauranga-based team. This is a permanent, teaching-focused position centred on delivering high-quality undergraduate education across lectures, laboratories and workshops. You will contribute to paper coordination, assessment and marking, support and supervise sessional assistants, and assist in the ongoing development and enhancement of teaching materials.
